Step 1
Measure all the ingredients into a mortar.

Step 2
Mix with a pestle to homogenize.

Step 3
Transfer the powder to a jar.

The mixture of potassium sorbate and sodium benzoate is designed to fight cavities and provide a sweet taste.
Xanthan gum is perfect for stabilizing the formula.
Erythritol is ideal for fighting tooth decay and providing a sweet taste.
Zinc citrate or Répar'émail (enamel)* is perfect for fighting tartar and plaque, but also for whitening and remineralizing teeth.
Essential oil and/or menthol crystals are ideal for freshening breath.

The steps

Step 1
Measure the calcium carbonate or clay, xylitol, mineral water, and benzoate & sorbate complex preservative into a bowl.

Step 2
Mix to homogenize.

Step 3
Add xanthan gum by sprinkling it in while stirring for better solubilization.

Step 4
Leave to rest for 15 minutes to allow the gel to form.

Step 5
Add the essential oil and mix.

Step 6
Transfer the preparation to a bottle.

3. I make my own solid toothpaste (50 g)

White clay or calcium carbonate
20 g
Foam paste or SCI surfactant
2 g

Coconut vegetable oil
10 g

Stearic acid
7 g

Zinc citrate or Enamel Repair
1 g (Zinc citrate) or 3 g (Répar'émail)
Menthol crystals and/or essential oil
17 drops or 0.5 g

Paste-forming surfactant or SCI is ideal for purifying and cleansing the mouth.
Coconut vegetable oil is antibacterial and helps cleanse the mouth.
Stearic acid enhances texture and is used to make toothpaste solid.
Erythritol is ideal for fighting cavities and adding sweetness.
Zinc citrate or Répar'émail* is excellent for fighting tartar and plaque, whitening and remineralizing teeth.
Essential oil and/or menthol crystals are ideal for freshening breath.

The steps

Step 1
Measure the clay or calcium carbonate, surfactant, coconut oil, erythritol, stearic acid, and menthol (if used) into a bowl.

Step 2
Mix to homogenize.

Step 3
Heat the mixture in a double boiler to melt the stearic acid, then remove from the heat.

Step 4
Incorporate essential oil (if used).

Step 5
Pour the batter into a mold.

Step 6
Wait 48 hours before removing from the mold and using

The steps

Step 1
Pour the desired amount of Base Douceur surfactant into a bowl.

Step 2
Add any other surfactants in the recipe.

Step 3
Add any essential oils or fragrance and shake vigorously for 30 seconds.

Step 4
Add the water (or hydrosol), erythritol, any other active ingredients, and the preservative.

Step 5
At the end of preparation, adjust the pH if necessary using lactic acid or citric acid to obtain a pH between 5.0 and 6.0.

Step 6
Transfer the mixture to a bottle.

Mix the powders and disperse the essential oil into the powder mixture.
Step 2
Store the powder in a small jar.
Step 3
To make a mouthwash, dilute ½ teaspoon of the mixture in ½ glass of water.

Rinse your mouth, holding the mixture in your mouth for a few moments, then spit it out.
