How do I do a hair treatment?

A hair treatment is an intensive care ritual specially adapted to the hair, from the scalp to the ends, and which is applied over a given period of time, usually a few weeks, for rapidly visible results.

At Aroma-Zone, we see our hair treatments as inside and outside care routines. We believe it is essential to combine the power of food supplements, to make up for any nutritional deficiencies from within, with the sensory qualities of treatments tailored to the beauty and health of the hair.

What does hair need?

To avoid premature hair loss, to promote growth and to add shine, hair needs nutrients above all, and in particular proteins (essential amino acids), fatty acids (omega-3), vitamins (primarily B vitamins) and minerals (iron, zinc, magnesium, silica, etc.):

  • Proteins help to form keratin, the building block of hair, and are therefore essential to its strength and growth. Thanks to its richness in complete plant proteins, as well as antioxidants, vitamins and minerals, Spirulina is often indicated to make hair grow faster. To find out more: the benefits of Spirulina for hair.

  • Fatty acids also nourish the hair and seal in its moisture, and can be applied externally via plant-based oil baths see advice below.

The second key need for healthy hair is hydration. This involves:

Why isn't my hair growing?

Hair growth can be influenced by a number of factors, and if you find that your hair is struggling to grow, there could be several reasons. Here are a few things to consider:

  1. Genetics: Genetics play a crucial role in hair growth. If your parents or grandparents have slow-growing hair, this could be an inherited trait.

  2. Inappropriate haircare: Excessive use of chemicals, aggressive styling, frequent use of heated tools or overly aggressive shampoos can damage hair and hinder growth.

  3. Diet: A balanced diet contributes to overall health, including hair health. Deficiencies in essential nutrients such as vitamins, minerals and proteins can affect hair growth.

  4. Hormonal imbalances: Hormonal fluctuations, whether linked to puberty, pregnancy, the menopause or hormonal disorders, can have an impact on hair growth.

  5. Stress: Chronic stress can contribute to hair loss and affect hair growth. Moments of intense stress can trigger a condition called alopecia, resulting in temporary hair loss.

  6. Age: Over time, hair growth can naturally slow down as the body ages.

If you are experiencing persistent hair growth problems, it is advisable to consult a healthcare professional or dermatologist for a thorough assessment and personalised advice. They will be able to identify the underlying cause and recommend solutions tailored to your specific situation.

Why choose just one routine at a time?

In principle, the food supplements and superfood cures we offer cannot be taken together. If they were, they would require the advice of a naturopath or micronutrition specialist during a personalised consultation.

It's also important to be able to see the effects of the duo you select: by taking treatments or applications together or one after the other, it's more difficult to distinguish what works or to compare the before and after.

So identify your priority and enjoy your treatment!

When should I have a hair treatment?

We recommend that you consider a hair treatment in the following situations:

  1. Seasonal changes: Transitions between seasons can affect hair health. The right treatment can help strengthen hair and prevent seasonal hair loss.

  2. Fatigue and stress: Physical fatigue and stress can lead to a loss of hair vitality. A course of treatment can provide the nutrients needed to revitalise hair follicles.

  3. Hormonal imbalances: Hormonal fluctuations, whether linked to pregnancy, the menopause or other factors, can influence hair health. A specific course of treatment can help restore the balance.

  4. Hair loss: In the event of excessive hair loss, a targeted treatment can help strengthen the roots, encourage new growth and improve the quality of existing hair.
