Commonly known as "false daisy", bhringaraj is a botanical plant of the genus Eclipta, which means "deficient" in Greek, and owes its name to the absence of hairs and ridges on its fruit. Meaning "King of Hair" in Sanskrit, bhringaraj is one of the most reputed plants for stimulating hair growth and slowing hair loss. Brahmi, bacopa monnieri, or 'water hyssop', is an oily aquatic plant traditionally used in ayurvedic medicine for its stimulating effects on memory and cognitive capacity.
