Properties

As a cosmetic ingredient, organic carrot macerated oil is recognised for the following properties:

  • Provides a healthy glow and revives the skin’s radiance.

  • Promotes tanning and helps the skin maintain a wonderful, even glow after exposure to the sun.

  • Rich in antioxidants, prevents the skin from the signs of ageing.

  • Softening, maintains the skin's elastic structure.

Indications

  • Dull, tired, suffocated complexions

  • Withered, tired, crumpled skin (necklines, faces and hands)

  • Skin lacking vitality

Uses

For use as an ingredient in the following blends:

  • Tanning oils for the body

  • After-sun products to moisturise the skin and maintain an even tan

  • Prevention of the signs of skin ageing, daytime facial products

  • Lotions and creams with a "feel-good" effect

Synergies

  • For a moisturising and soothing aftersun treatment: true lavender and blue cypress essential oils, rose hip carrier oil, calendula macerated oil.

  • For a tanning oil: carrot essential oil, olive and jojoba carrier oils.

  • To make a day treatment for the face or a body oil, use all the following carrier oils:

    • For a very runny oil suitable for combination or normal skin: jojoba, hemp, hazelnut and prickly pear.

    • For a nourishing, anti-ageing oil for dry skin: rosehip, borage.

    • For very dry skin: shea and cocoa butters, wheat germ carrier oil.

In practice

  • Use as a blend in your oil blend, applied daily to the face, neck and neckline.

  • Depending on how you want to use it, you should use varying concentrations of carrot macerated oild oil.

    • For a tanning treatment, opt for a carrot macerated oil concentration of 50-80% in your mixture.

    • For an aftersun treatment, opt for a carrot macerated oil concentration of 30-50% in your mixture.

    • For a day treatment for the face, opt for a concentration of carrot macerated oil of 20 to 30% in your mixture.

  • As an oil phase in body and face creams.

Traceability and analysis

Organoleptic properties

  • Appearance: clear to slightly cloudy oily liquid (moreover, the product naturally becomes cloudy if stored in cold conditions, due to its natural fatty acid composition)

  • Colour: orange to bright orange

  • Odour: characteristic of the oil, with vegetable notes of carrot, slightly acidic

New quality: We have improved the maceration quality of this product to offer you a product even richer in carotenoids extracted from carrot. This macerate therefore has a more intense orange colour than the previous quality, and a more pronounced vegetable odour, slightly acidic.

The carrot is a botanical plant from the Apiaceae family (Umbelliferae), mainly grown by market gardeners for its edible part: the root. Its primary use is in cooking, where it is considered to be a real "functional food" due to its rich content of vitamins A and C and minerals. It is also renowned as a beneficial remedy for liver conditions.
