Part of the rosehip family, rosehip grows wild in America, particularly in Chile and the Andes. There, the rosehip thrives in the form of a small thorny shrub. It produces white or pink musk roses and, above all, fruits that are exceptionally rich in vitamin C.
The oil obtained by cold pressing the seeds contains a very high proportion of omega-3 and omega-6 polyunsaturated fatty acids, known to promote cell regeneration and contribute to the suppleness of cell walls.
These components are known for their action in combating the effects of ageing on the skin. Thanks to its retinol content, this vegetable oil is wonderful for treating sun-damaged skin (premature ageing) and is traditionally recommended for its skin-repairing action, but also for preparing treatments for atopic skin. Renowned for promoting tissue repair, it is also recommended in treatments aimed at preventing or reducing stretch marks.
Aroma-Zone strives to offer you products of the highest possible quality, whether in terms of their composition, their richness in active ingredients, their scent, their type of cultivation, their geographical origin, their method of production, the quality of the producer's work, or their ethical standards in terms of sustainable development. We seek out rare and sometimes even exclusive product qualities for you by contacting suppliers around the world and buying directly from producers, while always ensuring favourable economic conditions for our partners.
In order to highlight some of our products of exceptional quality and to share as much information as possible about them, we have decided to create an "exceptional product" label.
Our Organic Rosehip Seed Oil is sourced directly from a Chilean producer through fair trade and has exceptional restorative and anti-ageing properties, making it one of our exceptional products.
An oil produced at the foot of the Chilean Andes
The Rosehip oil we offer comes directly from a company located in Chile.
There, the musk rose thrives in the form of a small thorny shrub in the South American Andes. Once the fruits from certified organic plantations are harvested by hand between March and April, the seeds are cold-pressed to produce a beautiful, top-quality orange oil.
An oil with recognised restorative and anti-ageing properties
It can be used as an ingredient in your preparations. Rich in active ingredients, this oil has unique properties in cosmetics. It contains carotenoids, including retinol, which makes it a highly prized oil for its restorative action.
Vitamin E and squalene give it antioxidant properties that are beneficial for fighting wrinkles and skin ageing, as well as reducing skin blemishes such as age spots, while vitamin K helps reduce diffuse redness.
Rosehip oil regenerates and nourishes the skin. With its restorative and softening properties, it is traditionally recommended for dry and mature skin.
