Chaulmoogra has long been used in traditional Asian medicine, particularly in India and China, for the treatment of leprosy and skin problems. The oil extracted from the fruit's seed contains very unique fatty acids with a cyclic structure. These rare fatty acids are characteristic, in varying proportions, of trees in the Hydnocarpaceae family, which includes Chaulmoogra, and the Gynocardiaceae family, African cousins of Chaulmoogra.
In cosmetics, Chaulmoogra oil is traditionally recommended for its beneficial effects on skin problems (skin with atopic tendencies, acne-prone skin, etc.).
In Asian countries, it has also long been used to soothe skin prone to eczema, psoriasis and skin infections.
Recent research highlights the lipolytic properties of Chaulmoogra oil, which promote the prevention and reduction of excess fat and cellulite.
Studies also show that it helps toeven out skin pigmentation by aiding the movement of melanocytes from pigmented areas to depigmented areas, stimulating melanin synthesis and encouraging its transfer to the skin's surface. As a result, tanning is fasterand more even, spots diminished, the complexion is evened out and the skin's natural radiance is restored.

Frequently Asked Questions
I had used it to soothe psoriasis a few months ago and it had worked well - unfortunately, this time I didn't get the expected result
Excellent oil
The oil arrived solidified. According to customer service, this is normal and due to temperature differences... It's April and I live in the south of France... so in winter, you should expect a block of ice!!! In short, very disappointed with the product, which doesn't have the consistency of an oil at all, and with the customer service response... And the smell isn't great either.
Very good for helping to detangle hair. Also works as a mask treatment. Helps to combat itchy scalp.
I am very disappointed with my purchase of Chaulmoogra Oil. Upon receipt, the oil was completely solidified in the bottle, making it impossible to use despite several attempts to gently warm it. For a product that is supposed to be ready to use, this is truly frustrating and gives the impression of a lack of quality control. I did not expect this type of problem. An additional feedback that will be passed on to the team to inform their thinking...
