This original oil comes from a tree native to the Pacific: the Bancoulier. Its fruit, the 'Bancoul nut', contains 2 pungent , hard seeds with a nutty flavour, providing'Kukui' oil. This oil is widely used by painters because it is a 'drying' oil, meaning that itaccelerates the drying of oil paints. This same property gives it a surprising ability to penetrate the skin, helping to create light, non-greasy emulsions.
This very dry feel , combined with its composition rich in essential fatty acids (omega-6), gives it exceptional regenerating and restorative properties.
Studies carried out on this oil have shown that it is very well tolerated by the skin and can therefore be used in skincare products for all skin types. In fact, it is traditionally recommended in Asian countries as an adjunct to care for scaly skin. Its calming properties are due in particular to its high levels of omega-3, fatty acids with renowned anti-inflammatory effects. By penetrating to the very heart of the hair fibre, Kukui carrier oil is an excellent ingredient for products for dry, damaged hair.
