An oil made from organic plum kernels from the south-west of France
The plum trees that produce the Ente plums used to make this oil are organically grown in France, in the Lot-et-Garonne region, by a passionate producer.
Ente plums are traditionally harvested between mid-August and mid-September. Their dark purple color with bluish highlights is very distinctive.
A virgin oil from the first cold pressing
Organic plum vegetable oil is obtained by pressing the kernel found in the stone of Agen prunes made from organic Ente plums, which are very often discarded by the food industry.
After drying and shelling the pits, the kernels are crushed and then pressed in a screw press to obtain the desired oil. This oil is then simply decanted and filtered. It was this producer who hadthe innovative idea of using these prunekernels to offer us a high-quality, virgin, first cold-pressed vegetable oil that is 100% pure and natural.
A very stable vegetable oil with a wonderful aroma
Rich in oleic acid like olive oil, it also contains around 20% linoleic acid or Omega-6, an essential fatty acid that is vital for the body.
Naturally rich in antioxidantvitamin E, it is highly resistant to oxidation.
In cosmetics, it has softening and antioxidant properties that are beneficial for skin care, particularly for toning and softening the skin and preventing the signs of aging thanks to its vitamin E content. Its sublime scent of bitter almond and frangipane is intoxicating and will add a subtle, delicious touch to your cosmetics.
This food-grade oil, classified as a virgin oil due to its remarkable organoleptic properties, is also ideal for use in cold dishes to enhance your salads, fish or meat, sauces, and desserts , as well as in hot dishes.

Brought from China via the Silk Road, plum trees were already being cultivated on the slopes of the Garonne River in Gallic times. However, it was not until the 13th century that the Crusaders brought back from Damascus (Morocco) the plum of the same name, which, through hybridization with a local plum tree, gave rise to the Ente plum (from the Old French "enter," meaning "to graft") under the impetus of the monks of Clairac Abbey. It is also from this period that the origin ofthe expression "... pour des prunes !"(for nothing!) may date back.
The story goes that the Crusaders who brought back plum trees from Damascus reported on their expedition to the king. The king is said to have become angry, exclaiming, "Don't tell me you went there just for plums!", in other words , "for nothing...". This expression then spread throughout the country and over time...
Dried using a special technique already mastered by the Gauls, the prunes were then shippedfrom Agen by boat from the quays of the Garonne, hence the name "pruneaux d'Agen"(Agen prunes).
Even today, the production of this fruit remains the panacea of the South-West region. They have a characteristic dark purple color with bluish highlights and a very sweet honey-colored flesh. A true gem of sweetness and indulgence, studied for only a few years, this plum oil, in addition to being a real olfactory marvel, has proven to be very beneficial for skin care. Its vitamin E content gives this softening oil antioxidant properties that are an asset in fighting the signs of aging.
Its intoxicating scent of bitter almond will enchant you and perfume your cosmetics with a subtle, delicious touch.
