Why use Moringa powder?
Rich in flavonoid antioxidants and, more generally, polyphenols, Moringa is popular for its many health benefits.
Moringa leaves contain valuable glucosinolates and isothyocyanates, such as glucomoringin. Glucosinolates and isothiocyanates, which are also found in crucifers such as broccoli, cabbage, watercress and radish, are a family of very important active sulphur compounds whose exceptional health benefits are now widely recognised by science.
Moringa is a good source of beta-carotene, a precursor of vitamin A, which plays a vital role in immunity and vision.
Rich in essential amino acids, Moringa is an interesting source of protein, making it an ideal ally for athletes, as well as for vegetarian and vegan diets.
A concentrate of minerals, Moringa contains high levels of calcium, potassium and iron.
Moringa also contains high levels of B vitamins (thiamine, riboflavin and niacin), which the body needs for energy production.
A real nutritional treasure, Moringa leaves are an interesting addition to a healthy diet, or as an accompaniment to specific diets such as the ketogenic 'keto' diet.
Moringa powder is popular in cooking for its characteristic powerful, botanical flavour and intense green colour.

Moringa is a member of the Moringaceae family. Originally from Asia, and more particularly India, it was quickly popularised in the rest of Asia, Africa and then the Middle East. Sometimes known as the drumstick tree or horseradish tree, Moringa is one of the most useful tropical trees in existence. Indeed, the Moringa is sometimes nicknamed the "miracle tree" because every part of the tree - its leaves, fruit, flowers, bark, gum and seeds - can be used for medicinal, food and cosmetic purposes.
Moringa leaves are reputed to be particularly nutritious, so much so that they are said to be used to combat malnutrition in certain famine-stricken regions. They are a good source of protein, vitamins, beta-carotene, calcium, minerals and antioxidants, and are traditionally eaten as a vegetable, as are the flowers.
The leaves are said to contain more vitamin C than oranges, more iron than spinach, more protein and calcium than lotion, and more potassium than bananas, making their nutritional value quite exceptional!
