To reduce dark circles and diffuse redness: rice bran or Calophylla carrier oils, Italian Helichrysum or Hamamelis hydrosol.

Uses

• Nourishing balms

Step 1

Add warm mineral water until a homogeneous paste forms and apply as a mask to the scalp.

Step 2

Leave on for 5 minutes and shampoo afterwards.

Synergies

To limit hair loss: Sapote, Calophylle inophylle, Nigelle and Jojoba carrier oils; Atlas Cedar, Lemon, Bay St Thomas, Spikenard, grapefruit, Clary sage and Rosemary cineole essential oils, Linden hydrolate, nettle powder, Burdock extract or Royal Jelly, Murumuru, Mango, Sal and Shea butters.

In practice

Because of the potential risks of oxidation associated with the sensitivity of this botanical oil, we recommend that you add vitamin E as an antioxidant to all your recipes containing safflower carrier oil.

Storage

This carrier oil is very sensitive to oxidation. Keeps for 6 to 8 months after opening, in a very cool place (preferably the refrigerator), in its original, closed packaging, away from air and light.

Precautions

• Safflower oil should not be consumed by children or pregnant women, or by people taking anti-coagulant, anti-platelet or anti-diabetic medication. Do not consume before surgery.

• Some people have allergies to Asteraceae, the botanical family to which safflower belongs. Do not use if you are sensitive to Asteraceae.
