An oil from Corsica
On Corsica, Helichrysum italicum grows naturally in the wild in sunny spots from the plains to the mountains, and colours Corsica a magnificent sunny yellow in June when the plant's inflorescences open. These colourful bouquets fill the air with their intense, distinctive fragrance, a blend of honey, hay and curry.
In order to preserve this natural resource, which is being damaged by poor harvesting practices (uprooting instead of cutting the plants) by some pickers, we carefully choose our partners to offer you an essential oil from sustainable harvesting in wild areas certified as organic or from plants grown using organic farming methods.
Helichrysum italicum is grown in the magnificent regions of Aléria and Balagne , with respect for both the plant and the environment.

It was under the sun of Haute-Corse, in its vast golden-yellow fields, that we met Stéphane, who has been producing and distilling Helichrysum italicum essential oil for over 20 years. He cultivates Helichrysum italicum organically with a love for the plant, great expertise and respect, as well as 14 other varieties of aromatic and medicinal plants. Committed to an agriculture that preserves biodiversity, he bans pesticides, uses mixed farming techniques and does not irrigate to preserve water resources.

An exceptional composition and remarkable properties.
There are many different geographical origins and subspecies of this plant and therefore of the essential oil (Corsica, Italy, Spain, the Balkans, etc.), so there are many variations in composition, and consequently different properties and effectiveness from one origin to another.
The plants selected to produce our Helichrysum italicum essential oil are exclusively from the Helicrysum italicum ssp italicum variety, which guarantees optimum effectiveness for this essential oil. The Helichrysum italicum ssp serotinum variety, which is being cultivated more and more because of its higher yield, and which is used in mainly in the Helichrysum italicum essential oils from the Balkans, has a slightly different composition.
Our organic Helichrysum italicum essential oil from Corsica is of the highest quality, both in molecular and olfactory terms, and is both uncommon and premium. Corsican Helichrysum essential oil has a unique biochemical composition because of the Corsican region itself, including:
A high level of italidiones (diterpenic ketones which are rare) (> 4%), which are traditionally reputed to be effective against blows, bumps and bruises. In addition to their purifying and repairing properties, these molecules are also useful for reducing diffuse redness.
A high percentage of neryl acetate (> 30%), an ester with calming properties, which is also a mood-enhancing molecule. This essential oil
helps to combat stress and anxiety, and to restore your enthusiasm and zest for life.
It contains very few pinenes (< 5%), making it an essential oil that is well tolerated by the skin. Its many properties make it an ideal ingredient for your recipes.
