• Powdery cosmetic mixtures: dry perfumes, dry shampoos, powdered deodorants, etc.

• Preparation of thick liquid formulas, lotions, creams, gels, etc.

• Balms

• In powder mixtures: add Arrow root powder as is, mixing well with the other powders, ideally using a mortar and pestle for make-up.

• In creams, lotions and gels for a mattifying effect: add at the end of the preparation after cooling, shaking well until a homogeneous mixture is obtained. You may wish to first sprinkle Arrow Root in a little water to make it easier to disperse evenly.

• In creams and lotions for a thickening effect: sprinkle Arrow root in the aqueous phase at the start of preparation. Heat the aqueous phase, stirring regularly to homogenise, then make the emulsion as usual.

• In balms: add Arrow root to the melted oil phase before pouring the balm.

Suggested quantities:

• 10 to 20% for incorporation into a cream or lotion

• 10 to 50% in a powder mixture

• 1 to 10% in a balm
