A lack of volume is caused by weakened hair fibres and a scalp that isn’t sufficiently stimulated. Approved by our qualified trichologist, this routine strengthens the hair’s structure, stimulates microcirculation and helps to free up the roots to allow the hair to breathe, whilst coating the hair for a volumising effect.

Organic plant-based shampoo
Washing your hair too often can weigh down the roots and cause volume to drop. Once a week, the Organic Plant-Based Shampoo helps you space out washes with your usual shampoo: its plant-based powders purify the scalp and absorb excess sebum without weighing the hair down, leaving the roots light and maintaining volume.
Recommended use: In a bowl, pour 5 level tablespoons or 2 heaped tablespoons of plant-based shampoo powder. Add 80 ml of simmering water until you have a smooth paste. Immediately apply the shampoo to your wet scalp, massaging it in, leave it on for 3 to 5 minutes, then rinse with clean water.
The Aroma Solution

“A pre-shampoo massage using peppermint (1) and ylang-ylang essential oils, diluted in jojoba oil (2), stimulates microcirculation and follicular density, resulting in more active hair and greater volume. Traditionally used to strengthen the hair (3), ylang-ylang also regulates sebum at the roots (4), lightening them and giving them more volume. Applied to a dry scalp, massaged in for 2 to 3 minutes and then rinsed out, this treatment can be carried out once or twice a week, without ever weighing down the hair fibre.”

A word from the experts
Solange Priso, qualified trichologist

"Space out your washes. Washing your hair too often creates a vicious circle: the scalp overcompensates by producing even more sebum, which weighs down the roots and reduces volume. A balanced scalp = less weighed-down roots = long-lasting natural volume.
To break this cycle without irritating your scalp, opt for active ingredients that gently cleanse whilst regulating sebum production. The Rhassoul clay, used as a pre-shampoo mask, absorbs excess sebum whilst preserving moisture; it lifts the hair fibre right from the root for an immediate volumising effect. The nettle powder, added to your hair mask or shampoo, acts as a natural regulator of sebum production whilst respecting the scalp’s pH balance.
The Algo'Zinc helps the scalp regain its sebum-regulating balance over the long term: less sebum is produced, roots feel less weighed down, and volume lasts for several days. A tip to preserve your volume: avoid using water that’s too hot when washing your hair – it stimulates the sebaceous glands even more!"
A Word from the Naturopath

“Hair is mainly composed of keratin, a protein naturally produced by our bodies, rich in sulphur-containing amino acids: cysteine and methionine. This sulphur enables the formation of chemical bonds, known as disulphide bonds, which are essential for the cohesion and strength of keratin fibres. Unfortunately, these disulphide bonds are vulnerable to heat, mechanical stress and UV rays (5). Without these bonds, hair loses its volume, elasticity and natural shine. Fortunately, diet can help nourish the hair from within: methionine is an essential amino acid that the body cannot produce itself but which is found in meat, fish, eggs, cereals, dairy products, soya, and so on. Cysteine is found in egg whites, pulses, poultry, broccoli, as well as garlic, onions and leeks (which are also rich in sulphur!)."
