Azelaic acid gives this serum anti-bacterial effects. It is particularly effective at preventing the spread of the Cutibacterium acnes bacteria (formerly known as Propionibacterium acnes), which is responsible for acne.

Precautions for use

As this treatment is highly concentrated, we recommend that you introduce it gradually into your skincare routine. Start by using it 2 or 3 times a week to allow your skin to adapt gently. After this initial period, you can move on to daily use. Please note that, unlike the usual one or two applications a day, we recommend limiting use to once a day. Additional instructions regarding this gradual acclimatisation will also be mentioned in the precautions for use.

Azelaic acid

This powerful 100% natural active ingredient is scientifically proven to regulate excess sebum and balance the skin's microflora. It prevents the appearance of blackheads and spots by reducing hyperkeratinisation of the skin. Its gentle exfoliating action unclogs pores, prevents spots from forming and clarifies the complexion.

Azelaic acid provides our serum with antibacterial and purifying effects to combat the bacteria responsible for acne (Propionibacterium acnes or Cutibacterium acnes and Staphylococcus epidermidis), making it a powerful acne treatment. Its anti-inflammatory effects combat micro-inflammation that causes acne, while soothing skin redness.

Azelaic acid is also effective for treating rosacea. It reduces facial inflammation and redness for rosacea sufferers.

Silica

100% mineral silica powder absorbs excess sebum for an instant mattifying effect. It leaves skin velvety soft and conceals imperfections, such as open pores.

Hyaluronic acid

From 100% natural origin, our hyaluronic acid is produced by wheat fermentation. Hyaluronic acid is a powerful moisturising and plumping active ingredient. It gives this serum a soft, slightly gel-like texture.

Plant-derived salicylic acid

Extracted from black willow bark, plant-derived salicylic acid is known for its antimicrobial and keratolytic properties. This natural active ingredient complements the purifying and blackhead targeting effects of this serum.

Avoid the area around the eyes.
If irritation occurs, space out the applications. If the discomfort persists, discontinue use immediately.
