This healing balm with restorative essential oils is the essential product to carry in your emergency kit. Ideal for treating bruises and bumps, it can also be used to diminish stretch marks and marked areas of the skin.

Preparation

Before you start

Precautions and allergens

1

If you don't have a scale:

Melt two tablespoons of shea butter in a bain-marie over a low heat. Remove from the heat and transfer the required volume of butter with a measuring cylinder into a bowl.

1

If you have a scale:

Melt the exact amount of shea butter in a bain-marie over a low heat, then remove from the heat.

2

Transfer the required quantity or volume of rosehip oil and arnica macerate to the melted butter, then mix thoroughly with the mini whisk.

3

Leave to cool for 5 minutes, then put the mixture in the freezer for a few minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove from the freezer only when the mixture begins to set around the edges of the bowl.

4

Finally, add the rest of the ingredients, mixing between each addition to form an evenly coloured paste.

5

Transfer the mixture into the jar (reheat slightly if it has become too thick) then leave to cool to room temperature (if your mixture is having trouble solidifying, place it in the jar in the freezer for a few minutes).

Store your bottle away from light and heat.

* Storage: if stored properly and manufactured under optimum hygiene conditions, your product will keep for at least 6 months.

Opinions

A very effective recipe. Used especially on toes: - for a long-standing, recurring pain, the problem was resolved in two or three applications - Immediately after the impact, one application was enough to make the pain disappear; no lasting effects. Recipe adopted

Simple to make and incredibly effective! The traces of bruising and swelling caused by shock disappear, and of course the pain that accompanies it. First used on a toe, I am currently using it on my chest. A must-have. Thank you for this recipe

Missing an ingredient I just received my package and I realize that I do not have the rosehip vegetable oil, I look in the order it is not listed and I look on the recipe and in the ingredients to add to the basket there is indeed no rosehip HV!!! Trusting the site I did not check the ingredients from now on I will do it because I will have to reorder just for an HV and because of the site which forgot to put this ingredient in the list

Average Consistency too liquid: it's more of an oil than a balm or I missed something in the recipe. Too bad I would have liked a balm like Tiger Balm. Arnica still relieves the pain related to the hematoma.

Recipe adaptation? Hello, I would like to make this recipe, but I don't have any arnica oil macerate, only Arnica CO² extract. Can I replace the arnica oil macerate with calendula oil macerate, and add some CO² extract in addition? If so, in what quantity? 1%?
