A perennial plant with beautiful white flowers, from the Liliaceae family, Lilium candidum, the Madonna lily or white lily is grown throughout the Mediterranean region, although it originated in Syria and Persia. The Madonna lily features prominently in ancient history. Legend has it that Hercules, while being breastfed by the goddess Juno, let two drops of the goddess's lotion fall from his lips. One of them spread across the sky to form the Milky Way. The other fell to earth… and a white lily sprung up where it hit the soil.
A symbol of whiteness and purity, the lily flower began to be associated with nobility when it became the symbol of the French royal family(fleur-de-lys).
The flowers of this highly fragrant plant are used to keep skin looking beautiful. They are reputed to heal wounds, burns, cuts and frostbite, depending on whether they are macerated in oil or brandy. The lily is also known to reduce skin blemishes (freckles, birth marks and age spots) and to reduce the appearance of brown spots. Lily flower macerated oil is an essential ingredient in homemade skin care products for a radiant complexion!

EO = Essential Oil
VO = Carrier Oil or Macerated Oil
80 ml white lily macerate
50 ml verbena hydrosol
16 ml plant-based lanolin substitute
6 g mimosa wax
3 g soya lecithin
30 drops organic bitter almond essential oil or extract
20 drops grapefruit seed extract
7 drops of natural vitamin E
Directions: Melt the wax in the macerate in a bain-marie while stirring. When the wax has melted, remove from the heat and add the hydrosol in small quantities, while emulsifying. Add the lecithin and continue to emulsify. Add the rest of the ingredients while continuing to stir.
5 ml avocado carrier oil
5 ml lily macerated oil
5 g beeswax
15 ml lemon balm hydrosol
20 ml Roman chamomile hydrosol
0.3 g borax
9 drops rose geranium essential oil
8 drops Moroccan blue chamomile essential oil
Directions: Make the lotion by creating an emulsion following the usual steps. Add the essential oil at the end of the process.
Aroma-Zone comments: Borax is an irritating and controversial ingredient. You can leave it out by replacing the borax with an emulsifying wax. This cream should preferably be stored in a pump bottle to avoid pollution. Keep in a cool place and use within two weeks of making it. You can help it keep longer by adding ten or so drops of grapefruit seed extract or Cosgard.

Expiration date too short
This is the first time I've ordered this oil, and it's honestly super effective. It absorbs well. I should have bought a larger bottle.
I'm sorry you don't know how to use lily oil.
An oil that helps reduce hyperpigmentation. Pleasant to use and not greasy.
