Step 1

Spray directly onto the affected area.

Step 2

Apply a suitable cream or oil to moisturise your skin.

This preservative-free mixture should be kept refrigerated. Best used within 1 month.

Combination skin mask

Step 1

Mix the powders and add the hydrosol.

Step 2

Add a little water to form a smooth paste.

Step 3

Apply the mask to the face and neck in a thick layer, leave on for 10 minutes then rinse thoroughly.

Step 4

Follow with a moisturiser.

This mask is for immediate use and can be refrigerated for up to 48 hours.

To obtain 1 L of hydrosol, we use 1 kg of plant material in a 1:1 ratio. This minimum extraction ratio, strictly followed at Aroma-Zone, guarantees an intense fragrance, better preservation, and a high concentration of aromatic molecules in the hydrosol, a true mark of quality.

A small perennial annual in the Asteraceae family, sweet inula grows naturally on sandy or rocky ground. In Corsica, it appears in July in the height of the hot season, often on wasteland or disturbed soil. It blooms rapidly from September, producing small yellow flowers, before disappearing in November.

The entire plant is glandular and releases a characteristic aromatic scent that has earned it the name of sweet inula. It should not be confused with Inula helenium, also known as elecampane. Sweet inula has long been cultivated by monks for its therapeutic properties.

Its action on the respiratory system makes it an ideal ally for coughs, bronchitis and other winter ailments.

The aerial flowering parts (the whole plant other than the roots) are harvested in Corsica in autumn, and steam distilled in a traditional, artisanal way in a copper still to produce the precious essential oil and hydrosol.

This Corsican sweet inula hydrosol, with its mild, subtle botanical scent, is an ideal alternative for anyone who wants the benefits of essential oil in a much milder form. Historically, it was used it both for its mucolytic action on the respiratory tract and to soothe small cuts following an injury.

In homemade cosmetics, this hydrosol works wonders in skincare preparations for oily, congested or acne-prone skin. It is also ideal for making after-shave lotions or soothing delicate skin.
