Concentration
To make 1 litre of hydrosol, you need 1 kilo of petals, known as the 1:1 ratio. This minimum extraction ratio, which we impose on ourselves, guarantees an intense fragrance, prolonged life and, above all, a high concentration of aromatic molecules in the hydrosol, a guarantee of its quality.
Learn more
The Rose de Mai (Rosa centifolia) is a cousin of the Damask Rose (Rosa damascena). They differ in their geographical origin, composition and fragrance.
Each year, between 100 and 130 tonnes of Rose de Mai petals are produced, compared with around 11,000 tonnes of Damask Rose. Since it takes about four tonnes of rose petals to produce just one kilogram of essential oil, the global production of Rose de Mai would yield only about 30 litres of essential oil, which makes its extraction economically unfeasible.
This is why this precious rose is reserved for the production of hydrosol, absolute or concrete.
The properties of Rose de Mai Hydrosol and Damask Rose Hydrosol are very similar, and the main difference lies in their fragrance.
Rose de Mai Hydrosol has a much warmer, sweeter scent, while Damask Rose Hydrosol offers a fresher aroma.

EO = Essential Oil
VO = Carrier Oil or Macerated Oil
Rose hydrosol: 50 ml
Borax powder: 1/8 teaspoon
Crushed nigella seeds: 10 g
Beeswax: 1 tablespoon
Sweet almond carrier oil: 50 ml
Grape seed oil: 50 ml
Grapefruit seed extract: 1 drop
1 capsule of vitamin E (or 7 drops of vitamin E)
Directions: Heat the rose hydrosol in a saucepan and add the borax. As soon as the liquid comes to the boil, turn off the heat, add the nigella seeds to the pan and leave to infuse for 30 minutes to 1 hour until the mixture has cooled. Melt the beeswax in the oils over a bain-marie. Filter the rose hydrosol-based liquid and reheat until it is approximately the same temperature as the oil and wax mixture. Pour the oil and wax mixture into a bowl, then add the rose hydrosol mixture very gradually. Mix with an electric mixer until you obtain a smooth, thick lotion. Pierce the vitamin E capsule and empty it into the lotion. Add the grapefruit seed extract. Pour into a screw-top jar.
Use: Use to carefully massage very dry areas of skin.
3 tablespoons clay
Rose hydrosol
1 teaspoon rose hip carrier oil
Directions: Mix the clay with the rose hydrosol until you obtain a fairly firm cream. Add rose hip oil.
Use: Apply the mixture to the face, neck and chest area and leave on for 10 to 15 minutes. Rinse off with lukewarm water.
100 g sweet almond carrier oil
25 g white beeswax
70 g rose hydrosol
2 drops of essential oil
Directions: Melt the wax in a bain-marie and add the oil, stirring constantly. Allow to cool, then add the hydrosol and essential oil. Beat with a mixer or whisk until you obtain a white cream.
Aroma-Zone comment: Store preferably in a cool place in a pump bottle. Use within two weeks of preparation. You can improve preservation by adding ten drops of grapefruit seed extract.
26 g rose hydrosol
10 g Inca nut carrier oil
7 g wheat germ carrier oil
3 g mimosa wax
1 teaspoon plant-based lanolin substitute
8 drops ho wood essential oil
7 drops gum rockrose essential oil
10 drops grapefruit seed extract
4 drops vitamin E
Directions: Melt the wax in the carrier oils and lanolin in a bain-marie. When the wax has melted, remove from the heat. Gradually add the hydrosol while emulsifying. Stir in the remaining ingredients while continuing to emulsify. Transfer to a jar and store in the fridge.
Aroma-Zone comment: It's not easy to make a stable emulsion (cream, lotion) using only a wax. Waxes have a low emulsifying power, so we recommend adding an emulsifier.
.
2 tablespoons Shea butter
1 tablespoon Argan carrier oil
1 tablespoon avocado carrier oil
3 teaspoons Rose hydrosol
1 teaspoon vegetable glycerine
1 teaspoon honey and royal jelly mixture (10% fresh royal jelly and 90% honey)

How to use: Mix the carrier oils and butter until smooth. Gradually add the hydrosol while emulsifying. Add the vegetable glycerin, then the rest of the ingredients.
Carrier oil of your choice: 3 tablespoons

Rose hydrosol: 1 tablespoon
Glycerine : 1 teaspoon
Rosemary or petitgrain essential oil: 8 drops

Stir on a permanent basis with a whisk to blend the mixture thoroughly. Pour the mixture into a jar when it is still fairly runny.
Important notes (Aroma-Zone): It's not easy to make a stable emulsion (cream, lotion) using only a wax. Waxes have a low emulsifying power, so we advise you to add an emulsifier. We also recommend that you add a preservative to preserve it.

Directions for use: Apply the cream to the forehead and sides of the nose and massage in using small circular movements.
Storage: Approximately one month in the fridge.
Olive oil: 50 ml

Procedure: Mix all the ingredients in a food processor, then transfer the mixture into a small bottle.
Storage: Store in the refrigerator.
Use: Shake before use. Massage onto face and neck, then remove with clean water or a flannel.

Filtered tap water or mineral water or rainwater: 125 ml
Rose hydrosol: 125 ml
Glycerine: 2 tablespoons
Witch hazel hydrosol: 1 tablespoon
Tincture of benzoin: 10 drops
Grapefruit seed extract: 2 drops
Directions: Bring the water to the boil (without the rose hydrosol) in a saucepan and add the plants to make a decoction. Cover and leave to simmer for 15 minutes. Leave to cool, then strain the liquid into the sterile bottle. Add rose hydrosol, glycerine, witch hazel hydrosol, benzoin tincture and grapefruit seed extract.
Aroma-Zone comment: Store in a cool place and use within two to three weeks of making it.

Borax: 1 knife tip
Rose hydrosol: 100 ml
Macadamia oil: 50 ml
Sweet almond carrier oil: 25 ml
Cocoa butter: 20 g
Honey: 5 ml
Directions: Pour the hydrosol into one container, and the carrier oils, cocoa butter, honey and wax into another. Place the containers in a bain-marie and wait until they reach a temperature of 65 degrees. Remove the hydrolat from the heat and add the borax, stirring well. Remove the oils from the heat and whisk, adding the hydrosol very gradually to form the emulsion. Continue whisking until cool and pour into a bottle. Blend well. Pour into a jar when still fairly runny.
Aroma-Zone comments: Borax is an irritant and controversial raw ingredient. You can leave it out by replacing the beeswax and borax with an emulsifying wax.
This cream should preferably be stored in a pump bottle to avoid pollution. Use within a week of making it. You can preserve it for longer by adding ten or so drops of grapefruit seed extract.

Frequently Asked Questions
I really like it. The delicate and so pleasant scent mmmmm. I've been using it for a few years and I don't know if it's psychological, but my skin felt a little better when I used it for about a month or even more, but unfortunately not continuously because it's constantly out of stock, a victim of its own success.
Very pleasant on the skin after a day of work. A little freshness and softness.
Change the cap. Make sure the material flows out drop by drop.
Effective and very refreshing
Top quality and smell! Skin refreshed immediately
