Why choose the Aroma-Zone triple magnesium food supplement?
We developed this food supplement with the idea of offering a magnesium capsule with high bioavailability and a high magnesium content:
Composed of a synergy of 3 forms of magnesium:
Magnesium Bisglycinate is known as one of the best forms of magnesium for food supplements, with high bioavailability and excellent digestive tolerance. We have chosen a 100% pure, 100% chelated magnesium bisglycinate, with no magnesium oxide (often added to increase the magnesium content of the bisglycinate, but whose bioavailability is low). This high quality Magnesium Bisglycinate naturally contains 11% magnesium by mass. To avoid a dosage with too many capsules, we have combined it with forms richer in magnesium: Marine Magnesium and Organic Sea Lettuce extract.
Marine magnesium : extracted from highly purified seawater off the coast of Ireland, this 100% naturally-occurring form of magnesium contains 72 other trace minerals that act in synergy to optimise the effectiveness of magnesium in the body. Studies show that it is well assimilated by the body.
Organic Sea Lettuce extract is a 100% natural form of magnesium with a 25% magnesium content, which means you can increase the magnesium content to limit the number of capsules you need to take each day.
3 capsules a day cover the most commonly recommendeddaily intake of magnesium.
No unnecessary additives
When should Triple Magnesium capsules be taken?
Magnesium is beneficial for cases of temporary tiredness, sleep problems or lack of energy.
It is particularly recommended during periods of temporary stress.
A course of magnesium is recommended for people with symptoms of magnesium deficiency: cramps (particularly nocturnal calf cramps), nervous tension, muscle fatigue, eyelid twitches, etc.
Magnesium supplementation is recommended for athletes, whose magnesium requirements are increased. Magnesium is an electrolyte, whose loss is accelerated by perspiration, so it is necessary to ensure you get a sufficient daily intake, particularly when doing intense exercise or endurance activities, in order to maintain body homeostasis (balance) and prevent dehydration. Magnesium is also involved in energy metabolism, muscle function and protein synthesis, and helps prevent cramps. So it's crucial for recovery after exercise!
Magnesium is also important for maintaining bone mass, particularly after the menopause.
What are the benefits of magnesium?
Magnesium is recognised to help and contribute:
to reduce fatigue.
to the normal functioning of the nervous system.
to normal psychological function.
to normal muscle function .
to electrolyte balance.
to normal energy metabolism .
to normal protein synthesis .
maintain normal bone structure.
maintain normal teeth.
Magnesium plays a role in the cell division process.

What is Magnesium bisglycinate?
Magnesium bisglycinate, also known as magnesium diglycinate or magnesium glycinate, is a magnesium salt in which each Mg2+ ion is associated with 2 glycine molecules (or, more precisely, with the glycinate ionic form of the amino acid glycine). It is said to be "chelated" (bound) to glycine. Given the respective molecular weights of glycinate and magnesium, magnesium bisglycinate can contain a maximum of 14% in weight of elemental magnesium.
In practice, a 100% chelated form of magnesium bisglycinate like the one we use is generally around 11% elemental magnesium, as it also contains a little water (dihydrate form, 2 molecules of water for each magnesium bisglycinate complex). Magnesium bisglycinate is manufactured by reacting magnesium oxide with glycine. To increase the magnesium content of the final product, some grades of magnesium bisglycinate are not 100% chelated, but contain a significant proportion of added magnesium oxide (sometimes referred to as the 'buffered' form), making it possible to achieve magnesium levels of 20-25% or even more. However, magnesium oxide is an insoluble mineral that is relatively poorly absorbed by the body, and can also be a source of intestinal discomfort. This extra magnesium will therefore not be really effective and could be poorly tolerated. To avoid these problems and offer a highly assimilable source of magnesium, we have chosen a 100% chelated and dihydrated magnesium bisglycinate, which naturally contains 11% elemental magnesium. In addition, many grades of magnesium bisglycinate on the market contain additives, such as carboxycellulose, which are not necessarily declared on the label because regulations do not require additives contained in raw materials to be listed in the composition. We have chosen a high-purity grade of magnesium bisglycinate with no additives.
What are the benefits of magnesium bisglycinate?
Glycine is a natural amino acid. The fact that magnesium is bound (chelated) to glycine significantly improves the body's uptake of the mineral by reproducing what occurs naturally in the diet. Insoluble magnesium salts, such as magnesium oxide, are absorbed mainly from the duodenum and their absorption depends on pH, as a chemical reaction in the digestive system (with hydrochloric acid) is required to solubilise magnesium. This is the cause of the intestinal discomfort (stomach ache) sometimes observed with this form of magnesium, and this route of magnesium absorption can be strongly affected by other dietary inputs, such as proteins, fats, other minerals, phytates and oxalates, and internal pH. In contrast, magnesium bisglycinate is soluble and absorbed directly from the small intestine, without needing to be transformed by pH. Its absorption is estimated to be 8 times faster than magnesium oxide. Bisglycinate is therefore considered to be one of the best organic forms of magnesium, both in terms of bioavailability and digestive tolerance.
What is marine magnesium?
Marine magnesium is a 100% natural source of magnesium, extracted from highly purified seawater off the coast of Ireland. Marine magnesium is an insoluble magnesium salt, unlike bisglycinate, which is mainly magnesium hydroxide, and tests show that it is much more bio-available (over 4 times more magnesium assimilated) than magnesium oxide. What's more, the main advantage of marine magnesium is that it combines other trace minerals with magnesium, which act in synergy with magnesium to optimise its effectiveness in the body.
What is organic sea lettuce extract?
To complement our magnesium supplement, we have chosen to add an extract of Ulva lactuca seaweed, which has an exceptional magnesium content thanks to its extraction using seawater. Certified ORGANIC, this extract is an interesting source of 100% natural magnesium.
What is magnesium used for?
Magnesium is a mineral involved in over 300 chemical reactions in our bodies. It is essential for strong bones and teeth, which contain around 50% of our body's magnesium. Magnesium is also essential for the transmission of nerve impulses and for muscle contraction and relaxation after contraction. It therefore plays a role in regulating the heartbeat. It also acts as an essential co-factor in the energy production process within our cells and in protein synthesis. In short, it is one of the most abundant minerals in our bodies and plays a wide range of roles;
How can you tell if you're lacking in magnesium?
Magnesium is a mineral that is essential to our bodies and our bodies cannot produce it, so it has to be supplied by our diet. Magnesium is found in cocoa, chocolate, oilseeds (almonds, sesame, hazelnuts, linseed, Brazil nuts), peanuts, pulses (chickpeas, white beans, lentils), seafood, sardines, wholegrain cereals. However, studies have shown that a large proportion of the population has insufficient magnesium intakes. People subject to stress, athletes and pregnant women are particularly at risk of magnesium deficiency because they have increased needs. Certain signs may indicate a magnesium deficiency: muscle cramps, tiredness, weakness, trouble sleeping, nervousness, constipation, eyelid twitching. If you are in any doubt about certain symptoms, ask your doctor for advice.

Frequently Asked Questions
We have combined 3 forms of magnesium to ensure high bioavailability (and therefore optimal efficacy), good digestive tolerance and a high magnesium content (to limit the number of capsules per day).
The nutritional reference value (NRV) for magnesium is set at 375 mg in Europe.
However, magnesium requirements vary from person to person depending on age, physical activity, stress levels and diet. Requirements are higher for sportspeople and pregnant women in particular, but they are also increased during periods of stress. Certain medications, such as proton pump inhibitors or anti-diabetic drugs, can also affect requirements.
Recommended dietary allowance:
Part of these magnesium requirements are covered by the diet.
In France, regulations set the maximum magnesium content of a food supplement at 300 mg per day, which corresponds to 80% of the NRV (nutritional reference value). We have therefore chosen to offer a food supplements which, by taking 3 capsules a day, covers this dose of 300 mg a day or 80% of the NRV, which is the dose most often recommended by professionals for magnesium supplements. Spreading this dose over 3 capsules allows you to take it throughout the day, for a continuous supply and better assimilation, but also to adapt the dose according to individual needs and periods, by taking from 1 to 3 capsules a day.
Magnesium capsules can be taken at any time of day, but for best absorption, it is advisable to take this food supplement with a meal. To promote sleep, taking them in the evening will be beneficial, and to combat stress, taking them in the morning may be a good idea. If you take 2 or 3 capsules a day, it is also a good idea to divide the doses between different times of the day (morning and evening, for example) to ensure a regular intake.
For athletes, particularly when an intense session is planned, magnesium should preferably be taken after exercise to help muscles relax and recover.
Regularity is important if food supplements are to be effective, so we recommend that you get into the habit of taking your capsules at the same time every day, for example one in the morning at breakfast, and one in the evening with dinner.
It is advisable to take magnesium capsules at a distance from calcium supplements, as they may compete for absorption.
For maximum effectiveness, we recommend a treatment lasting between 40 days and 3 months. A 120-capsule pot of Triple Magnesium covers a 40-day course of treatment, taking 3 capsules a day.
A must-have!
I've been using it for several months now, along with omega-3s, and it's beneficial. The quality of their magnesium is excellent.
I'm just starting the course so I don't have any feedback yet
Second course underway, the benefits are there!
It gives a little boost
