Caffeine
Concentrated at 5% in this serum, caffeine reduces puffiness and dark circles by activating blood microcirculation in the eye area. Thanks to its decongestant action, it reduces swelling and puffiness. It is of natural origin, extracted from coffee.
Hyaluronic acid
Moisturising and plumping, it helps to keep the eye area hydrated and to reduce and prevent fine lines and wrinkles. Ideal for refreshing tired-looking eyes. It is of natural origin, obtained by fermenting wheat.
Wild ginger extract
This active plant ingredient acts on both pigmented and vascular dark circles by improving skin oxygenation and reducing puffiness.
Action on dark circles: wild ginger extract moderates melanin production by regulating melanogenesis (reducing the activity of tyrosinase, the key enzyme in melanin production). This extract reduces the fragility of blood capillaries by protecting extracellular matrices (collagen, elastin) from oxidative stress. Oxidative stress is responsible for pro-inflammatory phenomena which degrade elastin fibres and collagen synthesis. By maintaining elastin synthesis and protecting collagen fibres from degradation, blood capillaries are preserved and dilate less, reducing the appearance of dark circles.
Helichrysum extract
Rich in chlorogenic acid and di-O-caffeoylquinic acid, two acids that strengthen the skin's micro-vessels. This extract controls the release of nitric oxide, a molecule produced in the blood vessel walls and promotes vasodilation of the vessels. Abnormal vasodilation is responsible for the accumulation of fluid in tissues and vascular permeability, leading to the formation of oedema under the eyes.
Niacinamide
An antioxidant, this powerful active ingredient helps to fade dark spots, soothe redness, give the skin a radiant glow and help reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
