ORGANIC Spilanthes
Native to Brazil, plants of the Spilanthes genus include over 60 species found in Africa, India, Sri Lanka and Madagascar. The leaves, flowers and roots of Spilanthes are used for their medicinal properties and their pungent aroma in cooking. Spilanthes acmella, also known as the "toothache plant", was traditionally used by dentists for its local anaesthetic action and as a popular remedy for toothache.
The flowers and leaves of Spilanthes are rich in spilanthol, an anti-ageing active known as a natural phyto-tenor. This plant molecule provides rapid muscle relaxant activity (muscle relaxation) which inhibits contractions of the subcutaneous muscles of the face, the cause of expression lines. This effect acts on the various visible signs of skin ageing by correcting deep wrinkles and fine lines. The Spilanthes extract we use is certified ORGANIC, with the spilanthol content checked on each batch to guarantee the optimum effectiveness of this Serum.
ORGANIC French Lavender
Grown in Europe, this extract is rich in Fenchone, a titrated molecule which belongs to the polycyclic terpene family and inhibits muscle contraction. French Lavender extract also stimulates the release of B-endorphins (neuro-messengers with relaxing effects). B-endorphins are naturally released by our body and skin cells (neurons and keratinocytes) and have a relaxing effect. Thanks to the release of B-endorphins and the presence of Fenchone, this extract offers an immediate relaxing action on the subcutaneous muscles of the face, helping to smooth wrinkles. It increases cell division in the epidermis, helping to improve skin regeneration. This extract improves the structure and cohesion of the epidermis by increasing the production of lipids involved in the formation of the skin's lipidic cement, thereby reinforcing the skin's protective barrier and its hydration.
Astragalus root
Rich in flavonoids, Astragalus root stimulates the synthesis of Hyaluronic acid. Rich in astragaloside IV, Astragalus root prolongs the life of skin cells, improves the proliferation of fibroblasts (cells which synthesise collagen and elastin fibres as well as hyaluronic acid) and prevents the breakdown of collagen fibres.
ORGANIC Cacay oil
Thanks to its high natural content of retinol and vitamin E, this rare oil is ideal for combating wrinkles and the signs of skin ageing. Regenerating and antioxidant, it preserves the skin's moisture and prevents loss of tone and elasticity.
Hyaluronic acid
100% natural and obtained through biotechnology, Hyaluronic acid is a powerful moisturising and plumping active ingredient.
