Perspiration is a normal, natural and essential function of the body. It helps regulate our body temperature when it becomes too high. Perspiration also plays an important role in regulating excess electrolytes (mineral salts) and eliminating toxins.
Perspiration occurs via the sweat glands, which secrete sweat, and it is intensified in many situations such as physical activity, hot environments, emotions, hormonal changes, etc.
Sweat is initially colourless and odourless. However, perspiration promotes the proliferation of bacteria naturally present on the skin, which feed on the nutrients found in sweat and thrive in a humid environment. It is the breakdown of sweat by these bacteria that causes unpleasant odours.
Zinc ricinoleate works by binding malodorous compounds resulting from this breakdown (such as amines, ammonia compounds, isovaleric acid, sulphur compounds, etc.), thereby neutralising unpleasant odours.

Frequently Asked Questions
This really boosts the performance of my homemade deodorant. It's remarkable. I'm removing one star for two reasons: the price compared to other sites, and the melting point, which is actually higher than described. I sometimes wonder if the information is verified and tested, despite the trust I place in Aroma-Zone.
Too bad I can't find it in the Nantes store.
I used it to make a body deodorant. I find it very effective. No more odor.
It does the job, but the beads take a long time to melt in a bain-marie, even in coconut oil.
