Preparation
I make my recipe from scratch
Yellow clay can be used as an active ingredient in your water-based formulations: creams, gels, lotions, soaps, etc.
Incorporate clay as an active ingredient in all your water-based formulas.
Step 1
Add the yellow clay (ideally pre-mixed in cold water) to your formulation at the end.
Step 2
Shake to mix well.
Aroma-Zone Tip
For better dispersion of the clay in your emulsions or gels, pre-disperse it in a little water before adding it.
To make a mask, wrap, or poultice
Yellow clay can be mixed with other clays or plant powders to make masks, poultices, or body wraps.
Step 1
Pour the yellow clay and other powders (other clays, plants, etc.) into a suitable container.
Step 2
Add the water-based ingredients while mixing to obtain a smooth, creamy paste.
Apply your mask in 3 steps
Immediately apply the mixture in a thick layer on the skin (face, neck, body) or hair, etc.
Leave on until the mask begins to dry. It is recommended to not let the mixture dry completely.
Rinse thoroughly with water to remove the mask.
Aroma-Zone Tip
Clay pastes do not keep well and should be used as soon as possible after preparation (maximum 48 hours in the fridge).
If you wish to incorporate essential oils into a clay paste, we recommend adding a small proportion of oil or Solubol to solubilise them.
For best results, do not heat the clay and avoid contact with oxidisable metal. You can use stainless steel or plastic equipment. For mixing, use a plastic spatula.
I like to use it in make-up products containing mineral powders
To make a loose or compacted powder:
Mix the yellow clay with the mineral powders and pigments, ideally by grinding in a mortar or coffee grinder to disperse the pigments evenly.
To make a cream foundation:
Step 1
Mix the yellow clay with the mineral powders and pigments, ideally by grinding in a mortar or coffee grinder to disperse the pigments evenly.
Step 2
Add the powder mixture during the oil melting phase

Quality
100% natural origin, unwashed to retain all its mineral content, non-ionised.
Production process
The clay is extracted from a natural quarry, and is subsequently processed mechanically, without any chemical treatments, to obtain a superfine clay suitable for cosmetic use. The clay is crushed and dried in an oven at 350°C for 20 minutes (which reduces its microbial load, making it suitable for cosmetics). The powder is then sorted using an innovative air selection process. This results in a fine powder clay, referred to as "superfine" clay.

Yellow clay is a natural mineral belonging to the phyllosilicate family (like talc and micas). Composed of hydrated aluminium silicate, it is notably rich in iron oxide, which gives it its vibrant yellow hue. Its unique lamellar structure (thin sheets) endows it with exceptional absorbent properties.
>> Spotlight on absorption and adsorption: Clays possess the remarkable ability to absorb liquids, such as water, behaving much like a sponge. Additionally, clays can adsorb, meaning they can attach molecules to their surface. This ability stems from the fact that clays carry a negative charge.
The negative charge is attributed to the presence of minerals (the higher the clay's concentration of mineral salts, the greater its negative charge).
When in solution, clay attracts positive ions from the surrounding environment and can exchange them upon contact with the skin. Clay therefore aids in the remineralisation and detoxification of the skin by swapping its mineral salts for toxins and impurities. This process enables clay to deliver active compounds back to the skin. Yellow clay can be used as an ingredient in your formulations, traditionally recognised as well-suited for sensitive and delicate skin, as well as blemished skin. It is especially effective in formulations designed for normal to oily and delicate skin types. Stimulating and revitalising, it helps restore radiance to the complexion.
