Peony Flower Extract Powder

Choose an amount appropriate for your formula, allowing a little extra to compensate for losses due to filtration.

How to use

1. Weigh the amount of powder using a scale.

2. Using a powder funnel, pour the powder into the water.

3. Shake well to disperse the powder evenly in the liquid.

4. Leave to macerate for 24 hours away from air and light, shaking occasionally.

5. After maceration, filter using a coffee filter or a suitable clean cloth.

6. Collect the filtrate and transfer it using a clean pipette to a clean, airtight bottle that has been disinfected beforehand.

Uses

This solution can be incorporated as an aqueous phase in your hair care products.

Caution: without preservatives, this extract is very sensitive to microbial contamination. Be sure to use it quickly and store it in the refrigerator. If you want to keep it longer, you will need to add a preservative such as Aroma-Zone Grapefruit Seed Extract or Cosgard: 20 drops per 100 ml of macerate.
