As a cosmetic ingredient, Organic Calendula Infused Oil is recognised for the following properties:

• Rich in antioxidants, it protects the skin and reduces the signs of skin ageing

• Helps regenerate damaged skin tissue

Use as part of your daily oil-based skincare routine, applying to the face, neck, and décolleté as the oil phase in body and face creams.

Calendula Infused Oil can also be incorporated into a ready-to-use AZ neutral base at a maximum level of 5% to make:

• An emulsion: with organic neutral plant lotion, organic age-defying cream and organic moisturising cream

• A water-based gel: with organic Aloe Vera gel (a foaming product): with Organic Neutral Cleansing Cream

• A soap: with Melt and Pour soap base

At a dosage of between 30% and 95% to make:

• A micellar oil: with high concentrate Micellar Base

• For treating superficial sunburn and scarred areas: Gum Rockrose, Spike Lavender, Egyptian Geranium, Helichrysum Italicum, Common Sage and Rosemary Verbenone Essential Oils

Step 1

Slowly add the slaked lime to the calendula macerated oil, stirring vigorously with a hand whisk until a creamy, even mixture is obtained.

Step 2

Use as a mild cleanser and make-up remover, making sure you shake the liniment vigorously before each use to ensure it is evenly mixed.

Apply regularly to burns until the condition of the skin improves.

• Macerated oil sensitive to oxidation.

• Store in a cool place (temperature below 20°C) away from light and air.

Precautions

• For external use only.

• May cause allergic reactions in people sensitive to Asteraceae.

• This coloured macerated oil may stain clothing. We recommend that you allow it to penetrate well into the skin before wearing clothing.

• As a general rule, always carry out a patch test of your mixture in the crease of the elbow at least 48 hours before use.
