We offer you high-quality organic Baobab pulp powder, sourced from a cooperative in Malawi and imported through a fair trade network, which facilitates the development of locally-organised structures that are profitable for the local population.
Baobabs are wild trees that grow in an area free from pollution.
The fruit dries naturally on the tree as it ripens. They are harvested by hand between January and March. To obtain the powder, the calabashes are broken and the precious pulp is extracted by hand, separated from the seeds and fibres in which it is entangled, then crushed and sieved to remove the remaining fibres. What's more, each batch of Baobab pulp powder is analysed by an independent laboratory in Germany (heavy metals, pesticides, benzopyrenes, microbiology), to guarantee that it is free from contaminants.

Baobab Adansonia digitata is a slow-growing African tree with an exceptional longevity, estimated at up to 2,000 years. Of the 8 species of baobab known on Earth, only Adansonia Digitata is found in Africa. It can be recognised by its unique botanical appearance: pendulous flowers, unlike other baobab species which have upright flowers.
A majestic tree, sacred in many cultures and often a 'palaver tree' in villages, where people gather to discuss village life and politics, or to listen to the teachings of storytellers.
A Senegalese emblem, its characteristic silhouette and bulbous trunk are typical of dry savannah trees. The fruit of the baobab is edible and its tangy pulp is appreciated by both humans and monkeys, earning the fruit the nickname 'monkey bread'.
Baobab fruit is rich in antioxidants, containing 10 times more vitamin C than oranges, which explains why it has been used for centuries to combat the signs of skin ageing.
