Why take Blond Psyllium?
Very rich in fibre, Psyllium husks are a natural solution for improving intestinal transit and promoting digestive health.
Psyllium husks help maintain good intestinal health and promote bowel movements. They are rich in mucilage, hydrophilic substances that swell on contact with water to form a viscous gel. This creates a gentle mechanical ballasting action that helps to regulate transit, whether too slow or too fast. It is necessary to mix the powder with a glass of water so that the psyllium mucilage can swell properly and create the gel, which will then have a beneficial effect on intestinal function.
Psyllium benefits sluggish bowels by supporting intestinal function and improving digestion.
We have selected 99% ORGANIC blond Psyllium husk, the highest purity grade.
Rigorously controlled and analysed with each batch: microbiology, heavy metals, pesticides, absence of EtO, etc.
The mucilage in psyllium husks has the rare and surprising ability to swell when in contact with water. This characteristic is also found in Chia seeds, which are also renowned for their intestinal benefits. These mucilages form a sort of gel with a viscous consistency, whose mechanical action is beneficial in the event of transit that is too slow, but also in the event of transit that is too rapid.

Blond Psyllium (Plantago ovata) is a member of the Plantaginaceae family, which comprises three distinct genera, including Plantago, which also includes Common Plantain and Lanceolate Plantain, common in Europe. The species Plantago ovata Forsk, Indian Plantain or Blond Psyllium, mainly cultivated in India in the regions of Rajasthan and Gujarat, is the most widely consumed throughout the world for its benefits and high fibre content. Plantago ovata is an annual herb with a short stem, generally around thirty centimetres high. Its narrow, rather linear leaves measure between 7 and 25 cm, and its flowers are white.
When psyllium is ripe, the colour of its flower spikes turns orange-brown, and its leaves turn yellow and dry out. The psyllium fruits, which contain the seeds, are shaped like small capsules and open when ripe. The seeds are oval in shape, with a coloured spot in the middle. They are sometimes called "Isabgol", which means "horse's ear" in Indian, due to their particular shape. It is possible to eat both the seeds and their husks, known as "teguments". It is these famous husks that are best known for their beneficial effects on the intestinal tract. Long used in traditional Indian medicine, blond psyllium has become widely used in recent years, particularly in Europe and North America. Blond psyllium is renowned for its beneficial effects on intestinal transit and its ability to regulate blood cholesterol levels. These properties are due in particular to the high fibre and mucilage content of the seed coat. Mucilages are hydrophilic polysaccharide substances capable of absorbing and retaining significant quantities of water, forming a sort of viscous gel. It is this gel that acts as a ballast in the intestine to gently regulate transit, whether too slow or too fast.
