Uses Hair care

  • As an ingredient in your blends for spraying on the scalp and/or hair.

  • Combine with active ingredients and other natural water-soluble ingredients to create scalp lotions or hair sprays. These preparations can be stored in the refrigerator, just like pure hydrosol. To keep them at room temperature, add a preservative such as Cosgard.

  • You can also mix it with essential oils if desired, using a dispersant (such as Solubol or Disper), as essential oils are not soluble in the aqueous phase. As above, a preservative is required to store the lotion at room temperature.

  • Incorporate into the aqueous phase of your homemade cosmetic formulas. Bay Rum Tree Hydrosol is ideal for formulating:

    • A toning shampoo

    • An anti-hair loss lotion

    • An instant shampoo

    • A lotion for dandruff-prone scalps

Synergies

  • Hair loss: combine with Nettle, Atlas Cedar, Common Sage and Grapefruit Hydrosols; Clary Sage, Spikenard, Grapefruit and Atlas Cedar Essential Oils; as well as Horsetail, Nettle and Bhringaraj Powders, or the Maca Vital cosmetic active ingredient

  • Stimulate hair growth: pair with Nettle Hydrosol, Rosemary Cineole Essential Oil, Kapoor Kachli, Kachur Sugandhi, Fenugreek, Amla and Horsetail Powders, Maca Vital cosmetic active ingredient, or Mustard Oil.

  • Dandruff: use with Patchouli, Bay Laurel and Nettle Hydrosols; Cade Juniper, Palmarosa, Bay Laurel and Geranium Essential Oils; or Neem, Brahmi, Tulsi and Nettle Powders
