Coconut milk is a creamy, deliciously flavoured liquid made from grated coconut pulp. It is used as a popular culinary ingredient in a lot of cuisine around the world. But did you know that coconut milk also has a host of health benefits? In this article, find out about the different properties of coconut milk powder and how to consume it.

Coconut milk powder is a dehydrated form of coconut milk, obtained from the pressed flesh of coconuts. Not only is this powder convenient to store and use, it also has a longer shelf life than fresh coconut milk. It is generally used in cooking to give food a rich, creamy flavour. To use it, simply mix the powder with water to get fresh coconut milk.
Aroma-zone coconut milk powder is 100% pure and is obtained by freeze-drying, a low-temperature process that preserves all its nutritional properties. What's more, it contains no additives and is organically produced.
Coconut milk is not only delicious, it's also good for your health. Made up of 70% water, protein and carbohydrates, it is also high in fat: saturated and unsaturated fatty acids of plant origin. It is also a good source of dietary fibre, vitamins (in particular vitamins C, B and E), essential minerals (such as magnesium and zinc) and antioxidants. These elements help to strengthen the immune system and improve digestion.
Regulates intestinal transit: thanks mainly to its high-fibre composition.
Helps the body to function properly: thanks to its high content of nutrients and minerals such as zinc and magnesium, known for their anti-fatigue and immune-boosting properties.
Easily digestible: coconut milk is ideal for people who are lactose intolerant.

Made from 100% pure coconut, this high-quality organic coconut lotion powder is obtained through freeze-drying, a low-temperature process that preserves all its properties. With no additives, this true superfood can be used in cooking to add a creamy, exotic touch to your dishes and desserts, or to make delicious hot or cold beverages. Lactose-free, this coconut lotion powder is a good source of fibre, magnesium, and zinc, and is a perfect substitute for traditional coconut milk in your pantry!
High in nutrients and fibre, coconut milk blends perfectly into your main meals and desserts, adding an exotic flavour. As an important source of magnesium and zinc, it increases your intake of essential minerals.
In powdered form, it keeps longer and means you can select exactly the amount of coconut milk you need. You can use it as it is in powder form or reconstitute it as coconut milk, whichever suits you best.
Promotes digestion
The fatty acids in coconut milk, particularly lauric acid, are easily absorbed and aid digestion, particularly in their hydrolysed form, as shown by a study entitled Effect of in vitro hydrolysis on coconut milk digestibility.
Lauric acid also has properties that possibly contributes to digestive well-being by balancing the intestinal flora. A 2015 study suggests that lauric acid and monolaurin have antimicrobial effects. They showed significant efficacy against intestinal pathogens such as Escherichia coli and Helicobacter pylori.
Coconut milk can be part of a varied and balanced diet. It is particularly suitable if you are looking to supplement your food with fibre and nutrients while giving it a little bit more richness. It can also be an excellent alternative to animal milk for those who want to vary their diet or are following an animal-free or lactose-intolerant diet.
At what time of day should I take it?
Coconut milk can be enjoyed at any time of day. You can add it to breakfast food such as smoothies or porridge, main dishes, sauces and soups, or desserts.

Store your coconut milk in a cool, dark place and refrigerate it after opening, consuming it within 3 to 5 days. Coconut milk can go rancid due to its saturated fat content. Always check the best before date and check the smell and taste before use. If coconut milk has an unpleasant smell, bitter taste or unusual texture, it is best not to use it.
Coconut milk also goes perfectly with various spices, especially turmeric. This combination has a number of health benefits. Turmeric is renowned for its anti-inflammatory properties, as highlighted in a review by Susan J. Hewlings about the effects of curcumin on human health.
Does coconut milk have a lot of calories?
Coconut milk is high in calories, due to its protein and fat content. Using it in cooking is therefore an effective way of increasing your calorie intake.
Does coconut milk make you fat?
The fats contained in coconut milk are mainly saturated fatty acids of plant origin, considered to be healthier than saturated fats of animal origin. Nevertheless, it is best consumed as part of a balanced diet.
