Evocative of tropical islands, the coconut tree (Cocos nucifera L.), from the Arecaceae family, is native to the coastal regions of Southeast Asia. It gradually spread westward to the islands of the Indian Ocean (Mauritius, Seychelles, etc.) and eastward to the Pacific islands. Today, it can be found in most tropical regions, but it is a hardy plant that adapts to various growing conditions, including the most challenging ones, such as small atolls with limited resources. After several decades, the coconut tree can reach heights of up to 40 metres.
The fruits of the coconut tree are quite unique. Externally, they have a large, hard shell, green when unripe: this is the exocarp. Inside this shell, there is a thick layer of fibres, followed by another spherical, fibrous, and hard brown shell – this is the endocarp, the coconut as we commonly know it. Inside, there is white flesh that can be eaten as it is, along with a clear liquid known as coconut water.
Often dubbed 'the most useful plant in the world', almost every part of the coconut tree is utilised. For example, coconut water, flesh, coconut flower sugar, lotion, and oil are used in the food industry, with the latter two also being used in cosmetics. Coconut fibres can be made into ropes, and the shells can serve as fuel or containers. The woven green leaves are used to craft baskets, mats, and hats, among other things.

Frequently Asked Questions
Aroma Zone superfoods
What is a superfood?
Superfoods are natural foods (fruits, seeds, plants, algae, etc.) recognised for their exceptional properties and composition: rich in nutrients, proteins, minerals, vitamins and antioxidants… in concentrations that are generally higher than those of other foods. Their remarkable nutritional compositions are beneficial as part of a balanced, healthy diet.

Packaged in France

100% plant-based composition
No unnecessary additives: we've selected 100% pure superfoods so we avoid unnecessary ingredients in our products. There are no hidden additives, our compositions are totally transparent, 100% pure plant!

Plants selected for their benefits
The superfoods we offer are the result of extensive bibliographical research. These studies have enabled us to gain a better understanding of the virtues and benefits of each plant, so that we can offer you a selection of the most interesting superfoods for their nutritional value, their richness in active ingredients and their properties.

Controlled sourcing and traceability
All the raw materials used in our food supplements are rigorously selected for their quality, concentration of active ingredients, microbiological purity and absence of contaminants. Each batch is checked on receipt against strict specifications.

Packaged in kraft doypacks
As part of our drive to reduce the use of plastic, we have decided to package our super foods in kraft paper doypacks, lined with PE / EVOH-PE film, which is essential for protecting the powders from moisture and oxygen. These bags can be recycled. Remember to put them in the appropriate selective sorting bin.
Our coconut lotion powder can be used in two different ways. As a powder, incorporated directly into your formulations; or by first reconstituting the coconut lotion, at a rate of 10 to 30g per 100 ml of water, depending on the desired consistency.
Traditional coconut lotion is made by pressing coconut flesh and often contains additives like thickeners (such as carrageenan or guar gum) when sold in liquid form. Coconut lotion powder is also available, typically produced through high-temperature spray drying, usually with maltodextrin as a carrier.
Our organic coconut lotion powder, however, is 100% pure coconut with no additives. It's made by freeze-drying coconut cream and coconut paste using a base of organic coconut flour. Freeze-drying is a low-temperature process that helps to preserve the nutritional properties to the fullest.
Super food supplement
I didn't like it at all. It mixes very poorly; even with a shaker, it remains grainy. I thought it would mix as well as baby formula. And as for the taste, I think it tastes more like flour than coconut. I'm very disappointed; it didn't meet my expectations at all.
The taste is not very strong and the texture is not pleasant.
I live in Tahiti, where fresh coconut milk is readily available and incomparable to this powder. However, for my morning coffee, this powder is a good substitute when you only need a small amount. It adds a nice flavor, but it's more like the oily residue found around what's called "uto" here. That's the fruit inside the coconut after it's sprouted.
Coconut milk contains grated coconut. This isn't what I expected, as I wanted to use it in cosmetic preparations... but as it is, that's not possible. It's intended for food use only.
