Theine: this decongestant plant-based active ingredient reduces puffiness and dark circles by activating microcirculation around the eye area. Theine gives this formula its anti-dark circle properties.

Hyaluronic acid: a major biomimetic active ingredient with moisturising and plumping properties, it reduces wrinkles and signs of ageing around the eyes. It provides the cream with its moisturising properties.

Wild ginger extract: this plant-based active ingredient acts on both pigmentary and vascular dark circles by improving skin oxygenation and reducing the volume of puffiness.

• Action on pigmentary dark circles: Wild Ginger extract moderates melanin production by regulating melanogenesis (decreasing the activity of tyrosinase, a key enzyme in melanin production).

• Action on vascular dark circles: this extract reduces the fragility of blood capillaries by protecting extracellular matrices (collagen, elastin) from oxidative stress. Oxidative stress is responsible for pro-inflammatory phenomena that degrade elastin fibres and collagen synthesis. By maintaining elastin synthesis and protecting collagen fibres from degradation, blood capillaries are preserved and dilate less, thereby reducing vascular dark circles. Ginger contributes to anti-dark circle properties.

Helichrysum extract: rich in chlorogenic acid and di-O-caffeoylquinic acid, two acids that strengthen the skin's microvessels. This extract helps control the release of nitric oxide (nitrogen monoxide), a molecule produced in the cells of the blood vessel walls that promotes vasodilation. Abnormal vasodilation is responsible for fluid accumulation in the tissues and vascular permeability, leading to the formation of edema under the eyes. This helichrysum extract gives this skincare product its anti-puffiness properties.
