Why we love it
Hyaluronic acid, the star ingredient in your formulations
Easily incorporated into your preparations
Who is it for?
Ideal for mature and dehydrated skin.
As a cosmetic ingredient, natural hyaluronic acid is recognised for the following properties:
Moisturising*: attracts and retains water in and on the skin
Combats dehydration: forms a non-occlusive protective film (thin, water-based gel-like film)
Plumping and anti-ageing: fills in wrinkles and fine lines on the face
Gives the skin a soft and velvety feel
Very well tolerated by the skin, it is suitable for many cosmetic preparations
Use as an ingredient in your preparations to create:
Facial care products to reduce wrinkles and fine lines
Moisturising treatments for dehydrated skin
Facial care for mature skin

Add it to a neutral Aroma-Zone base
Hyaluronic acid can be added to a ready-made Aroma-Zone neutral base to make:
an emulsion: with Organic Neutral Vegetable Milk, Organic Neutral Youth Cream and Organic Neutral Thirst-Quenching Cream, Organic Neutral Hair Mask Base,
an aqueous gel: with Organic Aloe Vera Gel,
a foaming product: with Organic Neutral Cleansing Base, Organic Neutral Cleansing Cream, and Organic Neutral Shampoo Base.
Add hyaluronic acid to an Aroma-Zone neutral base (listed above) to make an emulsion, aqueous gel, or foaming product:
Step 1
Transfer your product to a cosmetic preparation bowl or other suitable container.
Step 2
Add the desired amount of hyaluronic acid (see table of typical dosages below and within the maximum percentage that can be incorporated into the AZ Neutral Base of 0.5%). Without a precision scale or measuring spoons: use a generous knife tip for 50 ml of product.
Step 3
Mix well, then leave to stand for a few moments to allow the powder to hydrate.
Step 4
Transfer the product to its container, using a pipette if necessary.
Aroma-Zone Tip
To facilitate the dissolution of hyaluronic acid, you can pre-disperse the desired amount of powder in a small amount of vegetable glycerin before incorporating it into your preparation.
I make my recipe from scratch
Hyaluronic acid can be incorporated as an active ingredient in all your water-based formulas: creams, milks, gels, lotions, etc.
Incorporate hyaluronic acid into all your water-based formulas.
Step 1
Incorporate hyaluronic acid cold, at the end of the formulation.
Step 2
Mix well, then leave to stand for a few moments to allow the powder to hydrate. Shake well to ensure the mixture is completely homogeneous.
Aroma-Zone Tip
To facilitate the dissolution of hyaluronic acid, you can pre-disperse the desired amount of powder in a small amount of vegetable glycerin before incorporating it into your preparation at the end of the formulation, when cold.

Method of production
Produced by biotechnology through the fermentation of plant-based substrates (wheat peptones and glucose derived from maize) by bacteria.
Biotechnology refers to techniques that use living micro-organisms (such as bacteria, yeasts or moulds) to produce compounds for cosmetic, food or pharmaceutical applications.
This method of production is naturally far preferable to the traditional extraction of hyaluronic acid from rooster combs.

Learn more
Hyaluronic acid is a natural component of connective tissues: skin, cartilage, synovial fluid, cornea, etc. It is a glycosaminoglycan and is one of the most important elements of the extracellular matrix. This matrix, which also includes proteins such as collagen and elastin, forms the skin's support structure. Hyaluronic acid has the property of attracting and retaining a large amount of water (up to 20 times its weight in water) by forming an elastic gel. This makes it a valuable ally for facial care.
It is this ability, among others, that gives young skin its volume and elasticity. With age, the amount of hyaluronic acid in the skin gradually decreases and the skin loses its "plumpness."
In cosmetics, hyaluronic acid does not penetrate the dermis and therefore does not "replace" natural hyaluronic acid. However, its exceptional water retention capacity is recognized as being very useful for moisturizing* and "plumping" the skin.
Hyaluronic acid is a disaccharide polymer, and depending on the size of its molecules, it can penetrate the skin to varying depths. The largest molecules also play a very interesting role, as they form a film on the surface of the skin, like a cushion filled with water, which maintains the skin's hydration. This film also has a toning and smoothing effect on the skin's surface and wrinkles. The smallest molecules penetrate the upper layers of the epidermis, where they attract and retain water, deeply moisturizing the skin. This "plumping" effect also helps to reduce the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines.
The hyaluronic acid we have selected has a medium molecular weight and molecules of varying sizes to benefit from the synergy of the two effects mentioned above. It therefore enables treatments that provide both long-lasting hydration and a highly effective toning and "plumping" effect. *Hydration of the upper layers of the epidermis.
