As a cosmetic ingredient, the cosmetic active ingredient Fucocert® is recognised for its properties:
Soothing, it is particularly suitable for sensitive, delicate skin prone to discomfort. The soothing effect has been confirmed on volunteers after application of an irritant.
Anti-ageing effect: Fucocert® has a stimulating effect on epidermal sirtuins, enzymes nicknamed "cellular longevity proteins" due to their important role in skin ageing. Stimulating them helps cells repair themselves and protect themselves from oxidative stress, keeping cells "younger."
Stimulates cell renewal, which helps keep skin looking visibly "younger."
Regenerates the skin's barrier function, restructuring mature or discomfort-prone skin by activating cell differentiation
Short-term and long-term moisturiser (effect measured up to 8 hours after application)
Gives formulas a soft feel, improves their sensory properties, and provides a smooth, slippery texture without a whitening effect upon application and without leaving the skin shiny or sticky.

Fucocert® can be incorporated into a neutral AZ base to create:
An emulsion: with Organic Neutral Vegetable Milk, Organic Neutral Youth Cream and Organic Neutral Hydrating Cream, Organic Neutral Hair Mask Base
An aqueous gel: with Organic Aloe Vera Gel
A foaming product: with Organic Neutral Cleansing Base, Organic Neutral Shampoo Base, Organic Neutral Cleansing Cream Base
A mask: with the Peel-off Mask
Incorporate fucocert® as an ingredient in one of the AZ neutral bases listed above to create an emulsion, gel, or foaming product.
Step 1
Transfer your product to a cosmetic preparation bowl or other suitable container.
Step 2
Add the desired amount of Fucocert® (see table of typical dosages below and within the maximum percentage that can be incorporated into the AZ Neutral Base of 5%). As this active ingredient is viscous, we recommend measuring it using a pipette or measuring spoon.
Step 3
Shake well to homogenise.
Step 4
Transfer the product to its container, using a pipette if necessary.
I make my recipe from scratch
Fucocert® can be incorporated as an active ingredient in all your water-based formulas: creams, milks, gels, lotions, shampoos, etc.
Incorporation of Fucocert® in the aqueous phase of an emulsion (cream, lotion): recommended for dosages above 5%.
Incorporate Fucocert® into the aqueous phase before forming the emulsion, then use this aqueous phase to make the emulsion as indicated in the data sheet for the emulsifier used. Fucocert® can withstand heating to approximately 70-75°C.
Add Fucocert® at the end of the formulation process to a gel, lotion, foaming product, or emulsion at a low dosage (1 to 5%).
Step 1
Incorporate Fucocert® cold, at the end of the formulation. As this active ingredient is viscous, we recommend measuring it using the sampling kit provided.
Step 2
Shake well to homogenise.

A cloudy, opalescent white viscous liquid, packaged in an amber glass bottle with a dropper cap. As this product is viscous, it can sometimes be difficult to dispense using the dropper cap. In this case, we recommend carefully removing the dropper cap and dispensing the product using a pipette or measuring spoon.

Fucocert® is a polysaccharide, i.e. a sugar polymer, composed of L-fucose, D-galactose and galacturonic acid. These sugars occur naturally in the skin, either in free form or in the form of glycolipids, glycoproteins or polysaccharides, and play a very important role in cellular communication.
L-fucose is particularly known for its strong affinity for receptors involved in regulating the inflammatory response on the surface of keratinocytes.
Polysaccharides are also known for their ability to combat dehydrationby forming a non-occlusive aqueous film on the surface of the skin, which reduces water loss. It is also this film-forming effect that gives the skin and hair a soft feel.
