As a cosmetic ingredient, blackcurrant carrier oil is renowned for the following properties:

Rich in antioxidants and essential fatty acids, blackcurrant seed oil is an asset in the fight against the signs of skin ageing.
Makes the skin supple and helps keep it elastic.
Calming and soothing for sensitive and irritated skin thanks to the presence of omega-3s, including alpha-linolenic acid and stearidonic acid, a rare fatty acid.
Soothing: the omega-3 it contains give this oil the ability to reduce redness and soothe skin prone to irritation.
Highly penetrating and does not leave a greasy residue on the skin.

Because of the potential risk of oxidation due to the sensitivity of this carrier oil, we recommend adding vitamin E before heating for incorporation into an emulsion, or introducing it cold.

Blends

For anti-ageing effects: royal jelly powder, mare's milk, rose hip and raspberry carrier oils, rosewood, green myrtle, organic turmeric and frankincense essential oils.
For sunburn treatment: gum rockrose, spike lavender, Egyptian geranium, Italian helichrysum and rosemary verbenone essential oils.
For soothing and restorative effects: organic calendula CO2 extract, bisabolol, organic German chamomile CO2 extract.
For brittle nails and hair: lemon essential oil and sweet almond, castor or borage carrier oils.

Native to the Nordic regions, blackcurrants growwild in damp woods at altitudes of over 2000 metres.

So it's only natural that it's more easily found in cool , often damp climates , where it's generally grown for its tart, black, luxurious berries .

Blackcurrant oil extracted from the seeds has a high omega-6 and omega-3 content, including a rare fatty acid,stearidonic acid.

In phytotherapy, blackcurrant oil has been used for centuries to boost the immune defences of the elderly and to soothe joint and inflammatory pain (arthritis, osteoarthritis, rheumatism, etc.).

In cosmetics, it is used in anti-ageing skin care products for its powerful regenerating and revitalising effects, and in sensitive skin care products for its soothing and gentle properties.

40 ml Hemp or Rosehip oil
30 drops of sea buckthorn oil

6 drops of essential oil -Tea-tree
4 drops essential oil - Geranium
4 drops essential oil - carrot

How to use: Mix the essential oils and carrier oils well together.

How to use: Gently massage into the face and neck for a long time before going to bed.
