Beauty

• As an ingredient in your blends for spraying onto the skin of your face and neck after cleansing. Then apply your skincare cream or oil immediately to damp skin.

• Use with active ingredients and other natural (water-soluble) ingredients to make face lotions or body sprays. Like pure aromatic water, this type of lotion can be stored in the refrigerator. To keep it at room temperature, you need to add a preservative, such as Cosgard (transfer the hydrosol to a bowl to add the preservative).

• You can also use it in blends with essential oils if you wish, but you will need to add a dispersant (Solubol or Disper) as essential oils are not soluble in the aqueous phase. As above, you'll need to add a preservative to keep the lotion at room temperature.

• Incorporated in the aqueous phase of your homemade cosmetic formulas, it is ideal for:

  • A toning lotion for dull, oily skin, etc.

  • A deodorant spray

  • A beautifying hair spray with a citrus scent

  • A scented moisturising* mist

  • All types of scented and toning hair care products.

* Moisturisation of the upper layers of the epidermis

Synergies

• Oily skin with a tendency to acne: Algo'zinc and Bacti-Pur cosmetic active ingredients, tea tree, manuka, rosemary verbenone, cedar, grapefruit furocoumarin-free essential oils, patchouli, etc.

• Open pores: hamamelis, lemon, gum rockrose hydrosols, etc.

• To reduce pigmentation spots: Melano'regul cosmetic active ingredients and Active Radiance and Brightening Concentrate, essential oils of celery and carrot, etc.

• To create hair lotions and mists: Keratin'protect cosmetic active ingredients, liquid silk proteins, rice proteins, maca vital, honeyquat, etc.

• To make deodorant sprays: Bacti-Pur cosmetic active ingredients, alum stone powder, etc.

Well-being

• For a soothing, relaxing effect:

  • Spray the aromatic water onto your pillow to help you fall asleep.

  • Use it as an ingredient in your solar plexus massage preparations.

• It can also be used to make a room mist or to replace water in a mister.

Organoleptic properties

• Appearance: clear to opalescent liquid, sometimes slightly cloudy due to the essential oil content

• Colour: colourless

• Smell: characteristic of yuzu, a sweet citrus scent, very delicate, between lime and green mandarin, sparkling, fresh, citrusy

Storage

Hydrosols are sensitive to pollution. As Aroma-Zone hydrosols are preservative-free, we strongly recommend that you store them in the refrigerator and use them within 6 months of opening. If you notice a change in appearance or smell, stop using the hydrosol.

Precautions

• Certain natural compounds contained in this aromatic water may present a risk of allergy for certain sensitive individuals when the aromatic water is incorporated into a cosmetic composition (according to the 7th Amendment of the European Directive on cosmetic products (2003/15/EC)): limonene.

• As a general rule, always carry out a test application of your mixture, in the crease of the elbow, at least 48 hours before using it.
