Storage and precautions

Storage

Essential oils are sensitive to UV radiation and to the gradual evaporation of their constituents. It is therefore essential to store your essential oils in a sealed coloured glass or aluminium bottle at a temperature of between 5°C and 40°C.

Precautions

  • For external use only, do not ingest.

  • Do not use during pregnancy and breastfeeding, or on children under the age of 7.

  • Irritant in its pure form: Always dilute well, using a maximum of 20% in your oil blend for localised applications, and a maximum of 5% for broader applications. Ensure this essential oil is heavily diluted in your water-dispersible blend before use in an aromatherapy bath.

  • Use for localised application only, avoiding large surface areas, especially at high doses.

  • Not recommended for people allergic to aspirin or salicylic acid derivatives.

  • Due to its possible blood-thinning effects, do not use on individuals undergoing anticoagulant treatment.

  • Do not use in diffusion.

  • Keep out of reach of children.

  • As a general rule, always perform a patch test of your mixture in the crease of the elbow at least 48 hours before use.

  • Dangerous. Follow safety precautions for use.

  • Harmful if swallowed.
