Urinary comfort - 65g - Food supplement

Directions for use: Dilute 2 measuring spoonfuls (equivalent to 6.5 g) in 500 mL of water and drink throughout the day.

Recommendation: to ensure better digestive tolerance, avoid taking on an empty stomach.

For this Urinary Comfort dietary supplement, we have selected three complementary ingredients specifically designed to reduce urinary discomfort:

Urophenol® Cranberry Extract

The cranberry is traditionally recognised for its use in promoting urinary comfort. It is rich in polyphenols, particularly type A proanthocyanidins (PACs). The Urophenol® extract we have selected is standardised to contain at least 15% proanthocyanidins using the BL-DMAC method, the gold standard for ensuring the highest precision in determining PAC content. This strength provides 36 mg of PAC per day when taking one dose of the Urinary Comfort food supplement (2 measuring spoons).

Research has examined the ability of PACs to interact with certain bacteria implicated in urinary discomfort, notably Escherichia coli. A daily intake of 36 mg of PACs corresponds to the dose most extensively documented in the available scientific literature on this active ingredient and the most widely studied in clinical settings.

Hibiscus flower extract (Hibiscus sabdariffa L.) Ellirose™

This patented extract, with clinically proven efficacy, is characterised by its high content of polyphenols and anthocyanins, which contribute to the intake of antioxidant compounds. Hibiscus is recognised for supporting the healthy functioning of the urinary tract.

D-mannose

D-mannose is a monosaccharide naturally found in certain fruits. Research has shown that it interacts with the adhesion mechanisms of certain bacteria implicated in urinary discomfort, notably E. coli ¹ .

For this food supplement, we have selected two premium active ingredients whose efficacy has been validated by clinical studies:

Ellirose™

A randomised, double-blind, placebo-controlled clinical trial involving 40 women aged between 18 and 55, who experienced at least four episodes of urinary discomfort per year, demonstrated that taking 200 mg of Ellirose™ daily for 24 weeks reduced the occurrence of episodes of discomfort after 3 months, and by 89% after 6 months.²

Furthermore, 68% of the women who took Ellirose™ noticed an improvement, compared with only 22% of the women in the placebo group.²

Urophenol®

A clinical study involving 145 women suffering from recurrent urinary discomfort showed that taking 240 mg of Urophenol® (36 mg of PACs) daily for 6 months reduced the risk of discomfort by 43% compared with a cranberry extract low in PACs. The effect is particularly significant in women experiencing fewer than 5 episodes of urinary discomfort per year³.

The mechanism of action was demonstrated by an in vitro study⁴

Country of origin

Cranberries grown in Canada, and Urophenol® extract also manufactured in Canada, as close as possible to the harvest site, ensuring optimal quality and active ingredient content. Hibiscus harvested in Africa, extracted in Switzerland.

The dietary supplement is blended and packaged in France.

Storage conditions: store in a cool, dry place away from light. Close the sachet tightly after opening. As the powder is highly sensitive to moisture, the sachet contains a desiccant sachet (do not swallow). For optimal storage, we recommend leaving it in the sachet after opening, and taking care to seal the zip tightly after removing as much air as possible.

Not recommended for pregnant or breastfeeding women or for people with diabetes. Seek advice from a healthcare professional if you have kidney disease or are taking anticoagulant medication.
