A few ideas
This active ingredient can be used as an ingredient in the following products:
Age-defying creams
Vitamin treatments
Antioxidant, anti-pollution "defence" treatments
After-sun repair
Clarifying and lightening skincare
Properties
As a cosmetic ingredient, stabilised vitamin c is recognised for the following properties:
Antioxidant: protects the skin from damage caused by free radicals due to environmental stress (pollution, etc.).
Anti-ageing: stimulates the synthesis of collagen, one of the essential components of the skin's support tissue, whose synthesis decreases with age.
Prevents the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles: stimulates the renewal of fibroblasts (dermal cells)
Brightens the skin, reduces and prevents pigmentation spots caused by the sun or age (high dose: 3 to 5%).
Indications
Prevention of wrinkles and fine lines
Prevents sun and pollution damage to the skin
Mature skin
Repairs photoageing (premature ageing due to UV rays)
Pigmentation spots
Dosage
0.2 À 5% 0.2 to 2% as an anti-ageing and antioxidant agent 3 to 5% as a lightening agent
Water-soluble
Recommended pH 6.5 to 7
Stabilised vitamin C tends to raise the pH. The pH needs to be monitored and adjusted frequently.

Vitamin C can be used as an active ingredient in all your formulas containing water such as creams, lotions, and gels.
Incorporate provitamin b5 into all your water-containing formulas
Step 1
Add vitamin C cold, at the end of the formulation.
Step 2
Shake well to mix well.
Step 3
Check the pH of your blend using a pH paper strip.
Step 4
If the pH is above 7, adjust it to 6.5 -7, preferably by adding a dilution of lactic acid drop by drop, checking the pH again after each addition.
Aroma-Zone Tip
Important:
Vitamin C in the form of sodium ascorbyl phosphate has a basic pH and will increase the pH of your blends. It is therefore essential to check the pH of your mixtures.
Recommendations:
This vitamin C derivative that we offer is very stable in storage and formulation, however, to guarantee optimum stability of the vitamin C in your formulas, we advise you to:
Avoid contact of the formula with metals (except stainless steel)
Add vitamin E to the formula
Respect the optimum pH range: 6.5 to 7
Store the product in a closed container (ideally an airless bottle) away from air, light and heat.
Synergy: We recommend combining vitamin C with vitamin E in your blends, for a very effective synergistic antioxidant effect on the skin, as well as to improve the stability of vitamin C in the formula.
Incompatibilities: in order to respect the pH range required for good stability of the active ingredient, do not combine it with acidifying active ingredients or those requiring a more acidic pH range, such as AHA-fruit acids, DHA, alum stone powder, etc.).

Vitamin C or L-ascorbic acid is well known for its antioxidant and immune system stimulating effects. It acts as an enzyme cofactor in a number of physiological processes and is essential to our bodies.
In cosmetics, it is a powerful antioxidant, preventing cell damage caused by free radicals. Vitamin C is therefore very effective in anti-ageing, anti-pollution and after-sun skincare products. What's more, vitamin C is known to stimulate collagen synthesis, so it plays a vital role in the fight against skin ageing.
In higher doses, vitamin C is involved in the synthesis of melanin and prevents hyperpigmentation of the skin, especially 'age spots' and sun spots.
However, vitamin C is not limited to cosmetics. It plays a crucial role in our diet. Found in a variety of fruit and vegetables, it boosts our immune system, promotes the absorption of non-haem iron from plants, and helps produce collagen for healthy skin, bones, teeth and blood vessels.
The disadvantage of ascorbic acid is its instability: vitamin C as such is rapidly oxidised on contact with air, and is therefore unstable in formulas using it. For this reason, we offer you a stable derivative of vitamin C, sodium ascorbyl phosphate. The stability of this form of Vitamin C in air and in solution in water or in a formula has been demonstrated. It is only on the surface of the skin that the active form of Vitamin C is released by enzymatic cleavage.
