Why choose Aroma-Zone's Premium Chlorella Powder?
Produced in Portugal, unlike most Chlorellas, which are sourced from Asia.
Grown in a completely controlled closed environment, in long glass tubes, which helps protect it from pollution while naturally exposing it to sunlight, essential for its natural growth.
Low-temperature dried to preserve its nutrient richness. This powder has a more pronounced seaweed flavour compared to Chlorellas dried at high temperatures, which can have a pleasant roasted seaweed flavour.
High and controlled active ingredient levels in each batch, particularly with proteins > 35%, chlorophyll > 450mg/100 g, and carotenoids > 300mg/100 g.
Each batch of Chlorella is tested to ensure its microbiological purity and the absence of contaminants and heavy metals.

Chlorella (Chlorella vulgaris) is a single-celled algae that lives in freshwater, gradually accumulating to form "chlorella". Discovered in the 19th century by a Dutch scientist, it is fascinating thanks to its ability to multiply tenfold and its rich nutritional content. Chlorella is particularly high in protein, essential fatty acids and vitamins.
This is why it is highly valued, especially by millions of Japanese people who consume it regularly, if not daily. During World War I, Chlorella was an effective source of protein that met the nutritional needs of soldiers. The Japanese government even decided to declare the green algae an 'ingredient of national interest'. Traditionally used to detoxify the body, Chlorella is believed to have the ability to capture heavy metals present in our body and facilitate their natural elimination. It is also credited with the ability to accelerate metabolism, an interesting property in the fight against weight gain.

Frequently Asked Questions
Although often confused because they both grow in water, chlorella is a micro-algae, while spirulina is a cyanobacterium. These two superfoods each have highly beneficial nutritional properties, but very different active ingredients.
Regular consumption of chlorella is not recommended during pregnancy or when breast-feeding.
Also known as "superfoods", superfoods are natural foods (fruit, seeds, plants, seaweed, etc.) recognised for their exceptional properties and composition: rich in nutrients, proteins, minerals, vitamins and antioxidants… in concentrations that are generally higher than those of other foods. Their remarkable nutritional compositions are beneficial as part of a balanced, healthy diet.
