Properties

Why consume matcha green tea?

  • As a genuine source of antioxidants, such as catechins and EGCG, matcha green tea is renowned for its many health and well-being benefits.

  • Revitalising and energising, thanks to its high caffeine content, which helps improve alertness.

  • Ideal for slimming and detox programmes, thanks to its caffeine and catechin content.

  • Balancing and relaxing, it has no stimulating effects thanks to the presence of L-theanine, a rare amino acid which balances out the effect of caffeine.

  • Very popular in pastries and cooking for its delicate, botanical flavour and unusual green colour.

Here are a few ideas for incorporating matcha into your diet:

  • As a hot drink, like a classic tea, simply dispersed in water.

  • Try it as a matcha latte, for a more indulgent and comforting drink, for example with coconut milk or almond milk, which enhance its plant-based flavour.

  • Add it to desserts, flans, tiramisus, ice creams and sweet desserts in glasses, for an unusual colour and a nutty flavour.

  • Matcha tea goes perfectly with white chocolate, almonds, red fruit and orange blossom water, for subtle, gourmet desserts...

  • Matcha works wonders in financiers, cookies, Swiss roll-style cakes, or to create unusual truffles.

Find out more

Originating in China, like most teas, Matcha is made from the young leaves of the Camellia sinensis tea plant, which are finely ground so that they can be consumed whole. It was imported to Japan in the 12th century, where it was greatly appreciated as part of the famous "tea ceremony". Our tea is grown in Japan, where the best terroirs and the highest quality Matcha are found today.

Aroma Zone superfoods

What are superfoods?

Also known as "superfoods", superfoods are natural foods (fruit, seeds, plants, seaweed, etc.) recognised for their exceptional properties and composition: rich in nutrients, proteins, minerals, vitamins and antioxidants… in concentrations that are generally higher than those of other foods. Their remarkable nutritional compositions are beneficial as part of a balanced, healthy diet.

100% plant-based composition

No unnecessary additives: we've chosen to offer you 100% pure superfoods, avoiding unnecessary ingredients in our products. There are no hidden additives, and our ingredients lists are totally transparent: 100% pure plant!

Plants selected for their benefits

The superfoods we offer are the result of extensive bibliographical research. These studies have enabled us to gain a better understanding of the virtues and benefits of each plant, so that we can offer you a selection of the most powerful superfoods in terms of their nutritional value, active ingredients and properties.

Controlled sourcing and traceability

All our superfoods and their suppliers are rigorously selected for their quality and the traceability of their products, respecting the active plant ingredients. These products are controlled according to strict specifications to ensure their microbiological purity and the absence of contaminants (e.g. heavy metals, pesticides).

Packaged in kraft paper doypacks

As part of our drive to reduce the use of plastic, we have decided to package our super foods in kraft paper doypacks, lined with PE/EVOH-PE film, which is essential for protecting the powders from moisture and oxygen. These bags can be recycled. Remember to put them in the appropriate recycling bin.
