Fair and sustainable trade

The carrier oil we are offering you comes from Ecocert-certified Nigella plantations in Egypt , and is pressed in a very poor rural area in central Tunisia by a chain that is in the process of obtaining "fair trade" certification.

In this region, where the main source of livelihood for the workers is the prickly pear, our oil producer wanted to help them by developing and diversifying their production, while at the same time creating jobs. The profits from this trade also contribute financially to helping these Tunisian workers and their families gain access to education and healthcare.

Our producer has also developed this action with respect for ecosystems in order to offer us quality products within the framework of sustainable development. Nigella seeds (black cumin) are cold-pressed , using very little energy, to obtain a carrier oil rich in active ingredients.
