Concentration
To make 1 litre of hydrosol, you need 1 kilo of twigs, known as the 1:1 ratio. This minimum extraction ratio, which is something we strictly follow at Aroma-Zone, guarantees an intense fragrance, better conservation and, above all, a high concentration of aromatic molecules in the hydrosol, a proof of its quality.

A bushy shrub growing in damp woodlands, the blackcurrant, formerly known as the "cassissier," is remarkable not only for its fragrant berries but also for its leaves and buds which release a distinctive tart, fresh and fruity aroma. Blackcurrants have long been prized for their versatility: the berries are used to make the famous Dijon liqueur, and the leaves bring a fragrant touch to aromatic herbal teas and more.
To discover this intense, fresh, fruity aroma, we offer you Blackcurrant hydrosol, obtained by distilling the leaves and buds of the plant.
As well as making your cosmetics "mouth-watering", Blackcurrant hydrosol allows you to take full advantage of the plant's many properties (elimination, digestion, etc.), which have been recognised since the dawn of time.

Blackcurrant hydrosol
Procedure: Prepare your fruit compote and add 1 or 2 teaspoons of blackcurrant hydrosol at the end of cooking, according to your taste.
Serves 2:
260g strawberries (weight removed and cleaned)
1 blood orange
30g brown sugar
1cc blackcurrant hydrosol
Method: Sprinkle the strawberries with sugar and leave to stand in the fridge for at least 30 mins. They should be very cold. Squeeze the orange. Set aside in the fridge. Just before serving, blend the strawberries (with their juice), orange juice and blackcurrant hydrosol in a blender. If you wish, add 3-4 frozen strawberries when blending to keep the smoothie fresh.
