Properties

This natural dye gives a luminous chestnut tint to blonde to light chestnut hair, and is ideal for tinting hair to enhance the natural colour of medium chestnut hair, and colouring or tinting white hair to create natural highlights in a single application.
Natural chestnut-brown henna is a genuine haircare product that protects, strengthens and coats the hair, restoring its health and vitality. Hair is soft, shiny, supple and thicker.
This natural dye can be used on chemically-coloured hair, but the application time will be shorter (1.5 hours).

This plant-based hair dye is made from a combination of eight plants (henna and Ayurvedic powders), including:

Indigo: darkens hair and neutralises red highlights.
Red Henna (Lawsonia inermis): rich in lawsone for a more intense, long-lasting result.
Palestinian Jujube: adds shine and volume, and prevents discolouration over time.
Amla: makes it easier for the colour to take.

This plant-based hair colour has been designed and formulated to give you a natural, full-coverage result on its own. It is also a complete treatment for your hair and scalp.

How do I make my own henna paste?

Step 1

Depending on the length of your hair, pour the required number of sachets into a bowl.

Step 2

Gradually pour warm tap water (35-40°C) over the powder, mixing until you create a consistent paste.

Step 3

Immediately apply the paste to your hair, following the advice below.

How to apply the paste

Step 1

Comb clean, dry hair and divide into 2 sections, securing the top of the hair.

Step 2

Apply the paste strand by strand, starting at the back of the head. Work it all the way through to the scalp. You can use a piping bag, an applicator bottle, a brush or your (gloved) fingers.

Step 3

Continue with the top of the head, applying thick layers strand by strand.

Step 4

Massage to ensure all the hair is well covered and pull the hair together into a bun.

Step 5

Clean around your face and ears, then fold your hair into the wrap. Leave on for 1.5 - 3 hours (*1.5 hours for porous or chemically-dyed hair).

Step 6

Rinse thoroughly. If necessary, apply a conditioner after colouring.

Tips & advice

Apply a thick layer of henna for a deep, rich colour.
After applying the paste, fold your hair into the provided hair wrap to keep the heat in and for added comfort. The henna paste should remain moist throughout the application.
To seal the cuticle layer of your hair, add shine and soften your hair, use an acidic water or vinegar rinse.

Precautions

Conduct a patch test on the inside of the elbow at least 48 hours before application.
Always carry out a preliminary colour test on hair collected from your hairbrush, and wait 48 hours to assess the final result.
Avoid using iron or aluminium utensils to make your paste (use stainless steel or a spatula instead).
Use the gloves provided to avoid staining your fingers.
Henna paste stains clothes, so remember to protect them!
Avoid contact with eyes. In the event of contact, rinse thoroughly with clean water.
Not suitable for eyelashes or eyebrows.
Refer to instructions for use.
Store your plant-based dye in a cool, dark place.
The recommended use-by period for this product is 24 months after opening the sachet.
