Ayurveda, or ayurvedic medicine, is a comprehensive sacred therapeutic science that has been used for over 5,000 years in India. It is also a philosophy and a way of life. In Sanskrit, "ayur" means "life" and "veda" means "science or knowledge" . Discovered by the rishis or great sages of the Himalayas through observation of nature and the five elements (water, earth, fire, air, space or ether), it is based on the concept of the 3 doshas**(vâta, pitta and kapha**), each made up of 2 elements. Each individual is born with their own proportion of each dosha, often with one or two doshas predominating.
The aim of ayurveda is to live in harmony with your basic constitution, to know what helps you to stay healthy, happy, which will also give you wonderful skin, but also to learn to spot anything that makes you ill or unhappy. To ensure that your constitution is in balance, you need to choose activities, foods or plants that are the opposite of the characteristics of your predominant doshas and therefore soothe these predominant doshas.
Manjishta in Sanskrit, or Indian madder, belongs to the Rubiaceae family and is closely related to European madder (Rubia tinctorium). In ayurvedic medicine, its roots are considered to be the best remedy for cleansing and purifying the blood.
It is also known to relieve digestive, urinary and feminine disorders, inflammations and infections, as well as promoting the healing of damaged tissue (wounds, etc.).
Externally, it is used as a poultice to reduce skin inflammation and is effective in cases of depigmentation or to relieve burns or snake bites. It is particularly soothing for people with a pitta constitution.

Manjishta powder naturally contains plant pigments, and can therefore have a slightly colouring effect if used in too large a dose in a mask, or left on the skin or hair for too long. It should be diluted (20% max) with other natural powders and not left on for too long (10-15 minutes). Manjishta may leave a slight discolouration on your skin after a mask, but this normally disappears quickly after rinsing and drying, or in the worst case after wiping with a cotton wool pad soaked in a lotion, cream or carrier oil.
Because of its very powerful effect and its dyeing power, manjishta powder should always be diluted in other powders for application to the skin, ideally by using a neutral powder base (clay, rice powder, etc.) for your masks and herbal poultices.
If you feel a tingling sensation or overheating, stop applying immediately and rinse off with clean water.

Great Manjistha
Used mixed with green clay as a mask once a week. Pleasant mask and good results for the skin.
I've been buying this product for over 15 years and have always been satisfied. However, today the prices are too high, and since you've been in Italy, the products are often unavailable. Buying used to be a pleasure, now it's frustrating.
Very orange, gives the cream a pleasant scent and more texture. We'll see if it's truly anti-aging.
This is a quick mask, but I'm going to add a carrier oil because it dries too fast.
