Essential steps to take to boost your immunity

Here are a few tips to support your immunity on a daily basis:

  1. Maintain good hygiene: wash your hands regularly to prevent the spread of germs.

  2. Get regular exposure to natural light: vitamin D, which is produced by the body when exposed to sunlight, is important for your immune system.

  3. Stay hydrated: drink at least 1.5 litres of water a day to flush out toxins.

  4. Eat a balanced diet: eat a variety of foods to ensure you get all the necessary nutrients.

  5. Consume probiotics: promote a healthy gut flora by eating lacto-fermented foods or taking dietary supplements.

  6. Take regular exercise: exercise at least three times a week to boost the immune system.

  7. Get a good night’s sleep: sleep for between 7 and 8 hours a night to allow the body to recover.

  8. Manage stress: practise meditation, yoga or other relaxation techniques to reduce stress.
