Learn more
Sandalwood is a tree native to tropical Asia, with evergreen leaves and small pink flowers. Its sacred wood is dedicated to the god Vishnu in India, where it has been used for 4,000 years to build and decorate temples.
In Buddhist and Hindu rituals, it encourages meditation and lifts the spirit to help it better find its inner self. It has been used for centuries in Ayurvedic medicine to treat urinary and respiratory infections, as well as diarrhoea, and in Chinese medicine to treat stomach upsets, vomiting and skin ailments.
Its reddish-brown bark gives way to a core of pale yellow wood, which is chipped or pulverised before being steam-distilled to produce sandalwood essential oil. This very precious essence, made only from trees over 30 years old, is highly prized in perfumery for its warm, bewitching woody evergreen note.
The popularity of this wood has led to the indiscriminate felling of trees and their virtual extinction. Today, the Indian government has a policy of safeguarding and strictly controlling the logging of sandalwood, which is used exclusively for the production of sandalwood derivatives.
Given its high cost, it is not uncommon to find imitations of other varieties of sandalwood on the market, so check the product origin before buying.
The white sandalwood aromatic water we offer, made in Provence, is obtained by concentrating the essential oil of wild white sandalwood in quality water. It has the same properties and effectiveness as sandalwood hydrosol, obtained directly from the distillation of the plant's wood. This was a natural choice for use because it meets the quality criteria. In particular, it has an exceptional olfactory quality and remarkable freshness.
Sandalwood aromatic water soothes skin, body and mind. It is traditionally used to soothe minor irritations and pains, and to ease minor circulatory problems. Its neutral pH makes it very gentle on the skin, making it ideal for sensitive and problem skin. What's more, its sweet, fresh fragrance is appreciated by women and men alike, making it an essential ingredient in your homemade cosmetics.

An exclusive, traditional method of production
The white sandalwood aromatic water we offer is made by a couple of artisan distillers from Provence who are passionate about aromatic plants and love a job well done, especially at the request of Aroma-Zone.
It is obtained by concentrating the essential oil of white sandalwood, grown in Indonesia, in high-quality water, followed by steam distillation.
This concentrated aromatic water guarantees an intense fragrance, good conservation and a high concentration of active molecules, a guarantee of its quality. This aromatic water is then microfiltered to 0.2 microns, which ensures optimum cleanliness and microbiological compliance.
Our aromatic water is of exceptional quality, 100% pure and natural, with no added preservatives, and is both fresh and concentrated.
This choice is in line with our desire to protect the environment.
A suave, woody fragrance that's powerful and addictive
White sandalwood, native to Asia, is one of the plants long used in Indian Ayurvedic and Chinese medicine to relieve many ailments of body and mind.
This aromatic sandalwood water has the same properties and effectiveness as a sandalwood hydrosol obtained directly from the distillation of the wood of this tree.
Thanks to its beneficial action on venous and lymphatic circulation and its diuretic and anti-inflammatory properties, it helps to relieve congestion in the pelvis, combat varicose veins and cellulite, and relieve urogenital infections. In terms of energy, it boosts energy levels in cases of sexual fatigue and soothes body and mind thanks to its relaxing properties, which are conducive to meditation. It also helps those with a rigid, Cartesian mind.
Thanks to its neutral pH, this very gentle aromatic water is perfect for skincare, particularly soothing sensitive, irritated and blotchy skin. What's more, its suave, woody fragrance with light amber notes gives this aromatic water a warm, delicate scent that is appreciated by men and women alike. It's ideal for use in your 'home' cosmetics to soothe razor burn or remove make-up from sensitive skin.
Hydrosols and aromatic waters are sensitive to pollution. As Aroma-Zone hydrosols and aromatic waters are preservative-free, we strongly recommend that you store them in the refrigerator and use them within 6 months of opening. If you notice a change in appearance or smell, stop using the hydrosol.
