Synergy of natural active ingredients

DHA - Dihydroxyacetone

100% natural and obtained by fermentation, DHA reacts with the amino acids present in the upper layer of the skin (the stratum corneum) to form brown compounds called melanoidins, which give the skin a colour similar to that of a natural tan, but without exposure to the sun. This is the same type of reaction as the 'Maillard reactions' responsible for the browning or 'caramelisation' of food when cooked. This mechanism is completely different from the natural tanning mechanism (production of melanin). DHA only colours the stratum corneum and fades naturally as the cells renew themselves.

Erythrulose

Obtained from maize, this sugar, like DHA, reacts with amino acids in the stratum corneum of the epidermis to naturally colour the skin a pretty golden glow. Coupled with DHA, erythrulose boosts the product's tanning action and gives the skin a more golden hue with no orange tones. Erythrulose ensures an even, streak-free tan and prolongs the tanning effect on the skin.

Brown seaweed extract & trace elements

Derived from brown seaweed and complexed with trace elements (manganese and magnesium), this complex stimulates melanin synthesis and increases the number of melanocytes, with or without sun exposure. It also helps combat the damage caused by UV exposure.

Store at room temperature away from heat, closing the bottle tightly after use.
The shelf life of this product is 9 months.

Precautions

Do not use undiluted. Keep out of reach of children. Follow recommended doses. Avoid the eye contour area.

Mix with your daily skincare product (follow the mixing instructions in the fact sheet). The drops must be thoroughly incorporated into the skincare product before application.

Apply the mixture evenly to clean skin all over the face, neck and/or body. To avoid marks, blend the product around the eyebrows, hairline, elbows and knees.

Avoid the eye area.

After application, wash your hands and nails with soap to avoid staining.

Wait 24 hours to get the full self-tanning effect and reapply if necessary.

Do not wash or apply anything to the skin for 4 hours after applying the self-tanning product.

You need to wait 24 hours to obtain the optimum, definitive tanning effect.

If you want to intensify your tan, reapply the mixture, adjusting or not the dose of self-tanning drops in your skin care product, and wait another 24 hours.
If you are satisfied with your tan, you can keep it and maintain it by applying your mixture once every 2 to 3 days.
If you do not reapply the self-tanning product, the tan will disappear after 5 to 8 days as the skin naturally peels.

The day before application, exfoliate the areas where you are going to apply the self-tanning treatment.

For the body, you can use our organic sugar scrub.

The self-tan will react much more with any areas with dead cells and calluses, so exfoliation will remove all the dead cells on the surface of the skin to obtain an even tan without streaks or orange spots.

Self-tan does not stain clothes, and if you accidentally spill any on an item of clothing, the product will wash off.

Yes, the tan you get from DHA and erythrulose reacting with the skin's surface layer is completely different from the tan you get from UV, which induces skin colouration by activating melanin synthesis in the skin's deeper layers. The tanning effects from self-tanning products does not protect you from UV rays.

For this reason, even skin you've applied self-tan to must be protected from the sun with sun protection.
