Step 2
Add the gelling agent to your preparation while stirring with the mini whisk.
Step 3
Leave the mixture to rest for about 10 minutes (the gel will form).
Step 4
Mix vigorously again to obtain a smooth, even gel.
To make emulsions containing between 5 and 30% organic butcher's broom extract
Formulating emulsions with organic butcher's broom extract requires special care. Organic butcher's broom extract tends to destabilise emulsions at high concentrations. To make your emulsion, incorporate it into your aqueous phase and use the highest dosage of emulsifier.

Method of production
This hydroglycerin extract is obtained by macerating organic butcher's broom roots in a natural water/glycerin mixture.
Most of the active ingredients in butcher's broom are soluble in an aqueous medium. So, by macerating butcher's broom in a water/glycerin mixture, the active ingredients easily dissolve in the extraction liquid. After filtration, you get a water/glycerin mixture loaded with the plant's active ingredients.

Learn more
Butcher's broom is easily recognisable by its dark green, shiny leaves, in the center of which grow small scarlet berries. This is a strange appearance for this undergrowth plant which, despite appearances, has nothing to do with real holly! Did you know that these are not actually real leaves in the botanical sense of the term?
Butcher's broom has the unique characteristic of having stems that flatten in the center as they grow. These flattened stems, with their prickly ends, take the form of leaves, although botanically they are stems... more precisely called 'cladodes' (leaf-shaped stems). Discover its formidable cosmetic properties.
Storage
Although preserved, this hydroglycerin extract remains sensitive to pollution. It is strongly recommended to store it in the refrigerator and use it within 6 months of opening. If you notice a change in appearance or smell, discontinue use of your hydroglycerin extract.
