Uses for Skin

As an ingredient in your cosmetic preparations to formulate:

As an ingredient in your cosmetic preparations to formulate:

• Hair masks and balms to add shine

• Styling products for frizzy hair

• Nourishing and repairing care for dry or afro-textured hair

In practice

• This butter can be added as an ingredient in the oil phase of your cosmetic preparations for nourishing creams, balms, and sticks.

• Cold saponification : when combined with other oils and butters, Nilotica shea butter is highly prized for its rich unsaponifiable active ingredients and for adding creaminess to soaps.

This butter can be added as an ingredient in the oil phase of your cosmetic preparations for hair creams (conditioners, masks) and hair balms.

Apply your preparation to your hair focusing on the ends.

Massage the hair and then wrap it in a warm towel.

If possible, leave it on overnight, then shampoo.

You can also add it as an ingredient in the oil phase of your hair repair preparations, to be used in case of hair damage (beach, salt, frequent washing, etc.).

Synergies

• To coat and protect the hair, leaving it shiny: ceramides, phytokeratin and silk proteins (in emulsion).

• To improve hair condition and make it shiny: castor oil, ylang-ylang essential oil.

• Hair care products for blonde hair or highlights: German chamomile essential oil and hydrosol and turmeric powder (emulsion).

• Hair care products for brown hair: walnut husk and chestnut henna (emulsion).

Organoleptic properties

• Appearance: very soft butter at room temperature; liquid oil above 25 to 30°C; sometimes semi-liquid consistency (partially melted butter with solid grains - to recover a homogeneous appearance, melt the butter completely then place it in the refrigerator to solidify).

• Colour: pale yellow to light yellow Smell: characteristic, light notes of cocoa and roasted nuts

• Touch: very supple, creamy, even semi-liquid. May be slightly grainy. To remove the grains, melt the butter completely in a bain-marie, then cool it quickly by placing it in the freezer. To obtain a supple creamy consistency, you can then whip the butter at room temperature until smooth.

Conservation

Store in a dry place, away from heat and light. In hot weather, keep in a cool place if you want to maintain a uniform solid texture (otherwise it will partially melt).

Precautions

Nilotica shea butter naturally contains latex and should therefore be avoided if you have a latex allergy.
