It can also be used with your favourite soap or shower gel, on wet skin. Always remember to rub vigorously in a circular motion. For wonderfully soft skin, use your glove once or twice a week.

With black soap for the full hammam routine

Step 1

Apply Organic Eucalyptus Black Soap to damp skin. Leave for about 5 minutes.

Step 2

Scrub the skin with your kessa glove using large circular movements to exfoliate the skin thoroughly.

Step 3

Rinse the skin with warm water to remove the soap, then moisturise with a body oil or balm (such as Organic Argan Oil orOrganic Neroli Balm).

On its own or with your favourite soap (but always on wet skin)

Moisten your skin with warm or hot water to open the pores and promote the "hammam" effect.

Step 2

Scrub the skin with your kessa glove using large circular movements to exfoliate the skin thoroughly.

Step 3

Rinse your skin and soap with warm water, then moisturise your body with an oil or balm (e.g. argan oil or AZ organic shea and neroli melting balm).

Be gentle when using it on your face!

Step 1

Wet your face with warm or hot water.

Step 2

As the skin on your face is thin and delicate, rub gently with your kessa glove and the mild soap of your choice.

Step 3

Rinse with lukewarm water and then moisturise your skin with an oil or cream suited to your skin type.

Black soap scrub, the ultimate hammam routine

The hammam routine begins with a 30-minute immersion in an enclosed space filled with hot, humid steam.

Before proceeding onto physical exfoliation with the kessa glove, women coat their bodies with black soap, which is left on the skin like a mask for fifteen minutes. The effects of the soap and the ambient steam soften the skin, opening the pores and activating beneficial sweating.

Then, using the kessa glove, the body is rubbed with circular motions until all impurities and dead skin are removed, leaving the skin soft and supple. The scrub ends with a rinse to remove the soap.
